The time-travel drama follows James Cole (Aaron Stanford), who travels back in time to prevent a virus from wiping out the world’s population in the future. Schull plays virologist Dr. Cassie Railly alongside fellow cast members Kirk Acevedo, Emily Hampshire, Barbara Sukowa, and Tom Noonan.
When asked about a possible third season, Schull said she hopes it happens:
Oh my god, from your mouth to the pickup god’s ears. I’m hoping that we’re going to find out sooner than later, because as much as it’s killing me, Terry [Matalas], I’m sure, has not slept in like weeks. It’s especially frustrating just because I want this character’s journey to continue. I don’t want her story to be left where it is at the end of Season 2. And just from a selfish standpoint, I really like my job. I love the people I work with. I love the stories. I just want to keep doing this. If I could live in the 12 Monkeys world for 20 more years, I would do it, happily… We’re still in a holding pattern, I can tell you, as of this morning. We’re still in a holding pattern!”
The season two finale of 12 Monkeys is scheduled for July 18th.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the show? Do you hope it’s renewed for season three?
