TV show description:
After being sworn in as Vice President of the United States, widowed former law professor and Wisconsin Senator, Natalie “Nate” Maccabee (Sharon Stone), receives a gift from sitting President Thomas Eckhart (John Shea), himself a former VP. That gift — an ornate key bearing a Freemason insignia — is presented as a ceremonial key to the VP’s official Naval Observatory residence.
Using the key, Maccabee uncovers a secret room, behind a fireplace which also bears the insignia. Her Chief Steward, Malcolm Millar (Gerald McRaney) congratulates Maccabee on breaking President Lyndon B. Johnson’s record for uncovering the room. [n.b. In reality, Vice President Walter Mondale was the first VP to live in the official residence.]
Inside the room, Millar shows Maccabee the original U.S. Constitution — the only complete edition of the document. It alone contains Article II, Section 5, which grants the VP special, covert powers, and the use of a dedicated secret agent to deploy when the Republic is in dire peril.
The first secret agent to fulfill this role in spirit, was none other than patriot Nathan Hale. Hale’s final words, “I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country,” are the credo of Agent John Case (Jeff Hephner), the secret agent at Maccabee’s disposal. With a background in Special Ops and the CIA, Case is cool under pressure, and fully equipped to do the VP’s bidding, on missions too confidential for the FBI and CIA.
Chief Justice Caleb Thorne (James Earl Jones), who swore-in Maccabee, is part of the government secret circle charged with upholding and protecting the entire U.S. Constitution, including the top secret Article II Section 5, which provides for the Agent X program. Thorne is a much needed ally to Maccabee, as she assumes her classified duties.
Less of an ally, opportunistic Speaker of the House, Miles Latham (Mike Colter), is in Maccabee’s corner, when it suits him, and her adversary, when that better serves his aspirations and ambitions.
FBI Director Edwin Stanton (Jamey Sheridan), is a hard-nose law enforcement official and soft-hearted family man. When his daughter, Missy, is kidnapped, Maccabee learns on the job how to exercise her special powers and dispatches Case to the girl’s rescue.
Series Finale:
Episode #10 — Fidelity
John must rescue Natalie, Eckhart and a delegation of international leaders from a hostage crisis in the Paris Opera house.
First aired: December 27, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Agent X TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I cannot believe what I’m hearing. At last there’s a good show on and TNT decides to cancel AGENT X. There is so much junk on the air right now, let’s keep something that is worthwhile.
I liked Agent X I was very entertained by the show, seems like they get itvright and then it goes away, I HOPE IT GETS PICKEED UP.by another channel.
Why are you cancelling this show, I love it, it has everything in a drama show- good acting, action, a good looking spy who is so sweet that he seems a little too good to be true, however, he is still a kick-ass sky.
Great spy series >> lots of action and great stories! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU CANCELLING THIS SHOW?? YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS!!
Agent X is an awesome show. The plot is intriguing and exciting and has a (sort of) Bond-ish vibe going. And let’s not forget about the best part about the show, JEFF HEPHNER!! Come on TNT, Don’t discard another great compelling series. Also, let us continue to enjoy Rizzoli & Isles!!! Please keep these truly wonderful TV shows around awhile longer. feJvF
Agent x is a great show and so typical they would cancel it and leave so many cap shows on for 6 or 7 years.
Agent X stay for more do not cancel. Don’t cancel Rozolli(sp) and Isles either. There are few programs I enjoy on TNT and you have cancelled too many already. Let’s keep some of the good ones. They have loyal following and just because the ratings aren’t on top out they go. At least Fox has the brains to keep does that had followers instead of doing away with them based on just rings
It is amazing TNT cancels what would be a great show and keeps rubbish like The Librarians. Who is the decision maker for this network? FIRE HIM OR HER.
There’s be 3 or 4 comments here dogging The Librarians. While I loved Agent X, I also love The Librarians. So let’s not stir the pot and get another good show canceled.
Amen Brother. I’ve pretty much have said the same thing. The comments should only address Agent X, whether in favor or not, and not slam other shows on TNT not affiliated to this program. As I’ve previously posted it only embolden them to further cancel other shows of quality family entertainment values.
The Librarians was total trash. I couldn’t even get through one show.
How is this even related to the comments on Agent X??? o_O.
Although I agree that you liked Agent X, the Librarians is a good silly clean show. Its comedy is funny without being suggestive. Knocking one show while criticizing another doesn’t add justification to your opinion, it basically emboldens their decisions to further cancel more good shows with entertainment values that are proper for the whole family to watch.
What!? How can you cancel Agent X?? Who makes these decisions?? This is a great show! Please don’t cancel!!!
THERE ARE A BUNCH OF MORONS RUNNING THE NETWORK!!
Renew the show. It was fun and exciting.let’s get a season2
Yeah lets keep stupid shows like the librarian and cancel agent x. Maybe some other network can pick up this winner.

How could you cancel such a great show? It is awesome. You simply have to renew it for season 2.
I can’t believe they have cancelled such a fascinating show. Great actors and actresses Actually had a great plot. Then keep all the stupidest shows. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
bring back Agent X
I have watched every episode of Agent X … why do they cancel the good shows and keep the dumb ones going?
