America Now is ending after four seasons on the air. The syndicated lifestyle program which is hosted by Leeza Gibbons and Bill Rancic has been cancelled.
Raycom Media, which produces the daily show (via ITV Studios America) and covers all of its production costs, confirmed the cancellation.
“America Now is a show we are extremely proud of,” said Paul McTear, president and CEO of Raycom Media. “We love Leeza, Bill, the content and the fact that it’s family friendly and advertiser friendly. But it failed to measure up, from a business-model standpoint.”
Combining original content with segments from local stations, the show premiered as a one-hour show back on October 30, 2010. In September 2011, it was downsized to a half-hour daily show but two episodes often aired back-to-back.
It’s unclear when the show will actually end but its expected to finish out the current season.
What do you think? Did you enjoy watching America Now? Are you sorry to hear that it’s been cancelled?
Oh noooo!!!! I love America Now. I am forever telling someone what I heard or saw on American now, especially the product testings. Leeza and Bill are the perfect host. I am definitely heartbroken 🙁
Took off a hour a day to watch. Now I know I won’t have to take a break anymore.
MY wife and I looked forward to watching America Now, it was very informative and hit on a lot questions we had but didn’t know how to ask!
What a tragedy that this program was cancelled. Is there any way to bring it back? I found the information they shared so valuable, that I scheduled my workday around it’s airing. They covered topics that were so useful to the public. I always shared what I learned with others who worked daytime hours and could not see the episodes. They would comment, “How did you learn that? I didn’t know that! Thank you for telling me”. I am a well rounded and well read healthcare professional and I would learn something from this program every single time I watched… Read more »
WHAT A “DARN SHAME” TO REMOVE THIS INFORMATIVE PROGRAM. I DVR’d it every day it was on, and I’m so, so sorry it has ended. With so much “junk” and “violence” on TV, this was one program I looked forward to. Sure wish someone would bring it back. Leeza and Bill were the perfect hosts, and I pray “God’s riches blessing on their future endeavors”.
And its replacement is TERRIBLE. BRING BACK America Now!
I really looked forward to starting my day with this show and miss it. I thought I’d get over it but there really isn’t anything as good to take its place. 🙁
Sorry this show has been cancelled. Watch it on a daily basis. The show that took over should be cancelled too. You have lost me for this one of channel in the morning. Would rather watch Kathy lee show than your new one.
Its a shame, i totally agree with many comments here, i loved the show and found it very useful for its daily information and useful tips on many things, it was also nice to see Leeza return to TV, and Bill is so nice to look at. and the new show that replaced it is just ridiculous…who cares about that stuff, not me!
My wife & I always enjoy the show, it is clean and provides usefull information. I hope they continue the program.
I guess if you don’t make enough millions……GOODBYE!!!!!! When you have a WINNER it does not matter. Anyway I’m not talking about Leeza and Bill. They don’t need the money. It was a regular for my wife and I If their was someway of getting Raycom off the air I would gladley get at least a million votes to get you get cancelled. I bet you don’t show my comments! I really don’t understand how what lame brains do these things.
I looked forward to watching this show. I really miss it.
Love the show especially the part about buying products.
Yes Or Maybe or No
