For the sixth season of American Horror Story, FX has kept the theme under wraps as long as they could. Now that fans are learning what the season’s about, will they continue to watch? The ratings for AHS seasons typically start off strong and dwindle downward as the weeks progress. Will this time be different? Could it be cancelled or is it assured of a seventh season? Stay tuned.
American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare revolves around the Roanoke Colony in North Carolina. During the 1590s, the colonists vanished. And now, in the present, a couple’s new home near the settlement is full of paranormal activity. The cast is expected to include Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lily Rabe, Andre Holland, Denis O’Hare, Wes Bentley, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, Angela Bassett, Adina Porter, Finn Wittrock, Matt Bomer, Lady Gaga, Leslie Jordan, and Jacob Artist.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The fifth season of American Horror Story (Hotel) averaged a 1.49 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.89 million viewers.

I love AHS!!! Untill season 6! Season 6 was terrible!!! I hope to hell season 7 is better!
This is season is amazing. The most survival horror.
It was terrible. Almost unbearable to watch. I didn’t even bother watching the final episode. I’m not a fan of Sarah Paulson. She overacts. im hoping Ryan’s new show “Feud ” with Jessica Lange will be better. Jessica and Evan Peters are the best of all the AHS seasons!
This has been the only season that I couldn’t bear watching after forcing myself to watch the 3rd episode. Sorry but I hope next season will do better than this. Was just boring and the characters motives were not believable on my opinion.
Love Sarah Paulson and hope to see an improvement to next season of AHS. Big fan of the first five seasons.
I’m hoping they have better luck next year. I don’t want to see the franchise scrapped because of a season I felt was not up to par with their other seasons. Namely “Freak Show” and the season about the asylum. I loved those shows and I’ll still be watching this season as well. Hoping to see it next season.
It’s horrible. Boring not the same me & my girlfriend watched thinking it was going to be a good series. No way we stopped watching it. Really CUBA GOODNEN Jr. makes the movie boring the only hit movie he was OK in was Boyz in the Hood. He ain’t that great of actor . Sorry American Horror Story you ruined this series. Friends and family also stop watching !!!!!
Sadly, I’m not a fan of Sarah Paulson, and don’t feel she can carry the entire production; nor do I care for the back and forth between actors in the same roles. What’s up with that connivance, by the way? I could overlook the emoting of Sarah if the story had legs and a good delivery. With Kathy Bates, among other very good cast members, this could be a very solid production. Alas, it is not. Guess Ryan Murphy didn’t learn from Hotel. This season might be worse than last season because I tried watching the first two and they were so boring that I had to keep checking back to see if anything interesting happened. Ryan is not giving us exciting and scary stories anymore. And the narrating with different actors is so stupid. It’s like Ryan is trying to win awards like he did with the OJ series, but just like Breaking Bad the stories and the ratings slipped because the producers want awards, not looking out for the fans.
I’m really sorry I don’t typically even comment on these things ! However the lost colony was not around during the Spanish-American war! It was an English colony of the Elizabethan era!
