Aquarius is returning to NBC for a second season this summer, and there is now a new teaser for the upcoming season from John McNamara, an executive producer on the NBC series.
In an interview for his new series, The Magicians on SyFy, McNamara offer a small teaser for the new season of Aquarius. The Magicians was just renewed for a second season by SyFy.
Assignment X shared the following comments from the EP:
“Same time period, picks up about thirty seconds after the end of the season finale, and takes us all the way to the Tate murders.”
David Duchovny, the star of the series, recently revealed in an interview that there is hope for five seasons of the series. It is the later seasons that he really wants the fans to see.

I just finished watching season 2 on Netflix. I love were this show so much. I wish desperately to see more. Its a pity it was cancelled. Really why intelligent shows are not followed by the American masses
The first season was great and the acting was spot on…The second season starts May 28th..cant wait…
Since I lived during that era, and remembering hitching from L.A. to San Francisco many times, I remember being picked up many times by hippies in VW’s and was more worried about the Zodiac than the Charlie Manson Murders. Now that I look back..scares the hell out of me.
I absolutely love this show, and I think it has the potential to be one of tv’s best.. As long as some douchebag let’s it play out..
Heard about this series when I realized this was about Charlie Manson and his followers I was hooked ! I loved the storyline, love the 60’s!. it’s period, the music, and especially the acting. I love David Duchovney and the rest of the cast was great. It was a great first season looking forward seeing season 2 sometime this summer fingers crossed lol.

Well I was just looking at who was yesterday going to be in the second season and it didn’t show the same actors and actresses as the first season until like towards the end of the second season so it makes it to me not going to be is interesting because once you get used to it in a cast you like to watch that cast all through the season so of course I’m going to watch it and it will see how it goes but please don’t pull the castaway because I like the first season very much
