CBS started Big Brother earlier than usual this year so that it will run for 90 days. Is this too much Big Brother? Will the ratings fall? Cancelled or renewed for season 16? We shall see.
Big Brother typically airs three nights a week — Tuesdays Wednesdays (veto), Wednesdays Thursdays (eviction), and Sundays. Below are the latest ratings for the “eviction night” episodes.

Compared to last year’s debut, Big Brother was down by 15% in the demo (vs a 2.6 rating) and down by 15% in viewers (vs 7.18 million).
Reference point: Last season, the eviction night episodes averaged a 2.2 rating with 5.99 million.

These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
