The game will keep going over at Spike. The cable channel has renewed the Blue Mountain State comedy series for a second year.
Blue Mountain State is a half hour comedy that revolves around three college freshman who join the Blue Mountain State University football team. The cast includes Alan Ritchson, Chris Romano, Darin Brooks, Ed Marinaro, Gabrielle Dennis, and Sam Jones III.
The show is produced by Lionsgate TV and Brian Robbins’ Varsity Pictures. Robbins produces Smallville and Jones and Ritchson are certainly familiar faces to fans of that CW series.
Created by Eric Falconer and Chris Romano, the show’s first season kicked off last month and is still airing. Last week’s episode attracted 810,000 viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The 13th and final episode of the season is expected to air in late March.
But fans won’t be kept wondering if the show is coming back. THR is reporting that the series has already been renewed for a second season. A baker’s dozen of episodes have been ordered but its unknown right now when they’ll begin airing.

This is by far my favorite show still on tv. Its so entertaining because the writers certainly dont give a crap about the explicitness of the content, as long as they portray the outrageous college lifestyle in as entertaining a way as possible. The acting talent is great too and they all do a great job making you fall in love with their characters (though its too bad about sam jones III his character really rounded out the main characters well). Please bring this show back, it made my wednesday (middle of week) funny and enjoyable. This is a great show and I dont undertstand why people with kids dislike this show because, why is their kid up at 11 oclock at night. If this show is to vulger for kids to watch, I agree but, I bet this same parents(thats complaining) let thier kid watch south park and family guy wtf? Just a fan of the show and begging you to let the goats play some football.

this show is what everyone needs in there life….. I would put this show on my top 3 for sure. There hasnt benn one episode where i havent laughed my ass off.

SPIKE!!!!!! you’ve done it! One thing…. If you can remove with utmost respect to. A UFC take on college. You could destroy the major viewing demographic during prime time. The treatment of woman in the program and the shocking apathetic look at VD. I admit it is the shock that has thrown a fresh and new set of upcoming rock stars on the set. This show is amazing! It captures all the fun that comes with college and occasionally teaches a lesson. BMS needs to have a few more seasons! I strongly suggest you watch an episode or two if you haven’t seen one yet.
