Currently, there are several TV shows that revolve around viral outbreaks — The Last Ship, The Strain, and Z Nation. The folks at The CW are hoping there’s room for one more with their Containment series. How will this one perform in the ratings? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On Containment, a mysterious and lethal epidemic breaks out in Atlanta and a wide reaching urban quarantine is quickly enforced. This forces those who are stuck on the inside to fight for their lives while, local and federal officials desperately search for a cure. The cast includes David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Kristen Gutoskie, Claudia Black, George Young, Hanna Mangan Lawrence, and Trevor St. John.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Please do not cancel I’ve really got into containment and really would like to see more It is a great series and deserves to go the full way at least make it and sell on DVDs lol u can’t leave it in episode 13 that’s not fair 🙁 I want to know what happens to everyone

I really enjoyed this series and will really miss it if it cancelled. I don’t think we can ever fathom what would happen if something like that ever did happen.

Containment is just a series of unrealistic stupidities week after week. The quarantine zone even with CDC HQ nearby gets no intelligentsia whatsoever from such a prestigious institution.
Garbage like bad germs should be discarded likewise for this show.
Please renew containment for season 2. it is the best show. Do not cancel it.

My understanding is that a limited series has a limited number of episodes each season — fewer than a full 22 episode season with no chance for a backorder. This doesn’t mean that it can’t return for a second season. The Following on FOX was a good example of a limited series.
A mini-series has one season with a certain number of episodes and that’s all there is. Roots is a good example.
Stop doing this to me i fall in love with a show and then it is cancelled i need more of containment i need to no wat happens to the people trying to get out and if jake lives i love this show that much i watch all 12 episode in one night online plz bring it back for season 2 listen to your viewers
Once again… No one cancelled Containment. It was conceived and advertised as a LIMITED SERIES from the get. There is no renewal of cancellation coming because it’s a LIMITED SERIES.
Renew this show its an awesome show. I can’t watch it Tuesday because I work but I do record the show & watch it later.
I personally have enjoyed the series although have not been able to watch regularly and as there is no on demand for CW it is difficult to watch missed episodes as watching online is not the same or as convenient. I will be sad to see the show go as it truly was enjoyable and one of the more believable “viral outbreak” shows as some of the other are truly ridiculous (not counting The Last Ship, another enjoyable one). Not sure why they killed off Katie. Her son would have been more impactful to the series.

So sad that CW is not renewing for Season 2 – As for the ratings… do they count all of us who watch on line? This was one of the few great new shows on tv. Very disappointed.

This is my favorite show!! I like it more than walking dead and I love the cast!!!! I am so upset it’s cancelled!!!! I feel like I shouldn’t even watch it now knowing that it’s not returning but I love all the cast and story line and don’t want to miss it! My work hours suck and I usually have to watch it from the on demand recordings but I haven’t missed an episode!!

So shows like America’s got talent gets multiple seasons but an actually interesting show gets cancelled before the first season is even finished??? Way to go CW. If there weren’t a few shows I really like that airs on the channel I would never watch it again. I think containment is a great and original show that deserves more attention than some dumb show like America’s got talent and a few others.
