Below, watch the Ash Vs Evil Dead “red band” trailer that was banned from San Diego Comic-Con International. Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi) premiered it, on Twitter. Ash Vs Evil Dead is executive produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Bruce Campbell, and Ivan Raimi. EP Craig DiGregorio is showrunner. Aaron Lam and Moira Grant produce.

The second season sees Ash leaving Jacksonville for his hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan. The Ash Vs Evil Dead TV series cast includes: Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, and Dana DeLorenzo. Lee Majors, Ted Raimi, and Michelle Hurd join season two as Brock Williams, Ash’s father; Chet Kaminski, Ash’s childhood best friend; and Linda, Ash’s high school sweetheart, respectively.

THE KICK-ASH TRAILER BANNED FROM SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON

STARZ RELEASES NEW RED BAND TRAILER AND NEVER BEFORE SEEN POSTER FOR “ASH VS EVIL DEAD”

Beverly Hills, Calif., July 19, 2016 – Today, STARZ released a new “Ash vs Evil Dead” red band trailer that was deemed too gory for San Diego Comic-Con International. Musician and super fan of the series, Kid Cudi, premiered the trailer via twitter (@KidCudi). STARZ also revealed a never before seen poster for the series created especially for Comic-Con International. The poster will be available at the “Ash vs Evil Dead” cabin in Petco Park Interactive Zone to be signed by cast members and executive producers on the series.

“Ash vs Evil Dead,” a 10-episode half-hour series, is the long-awaited follow-up to the classic horror film, The Evil Dead.

The second season roars back into action with Ash leaving his beloved Jacksonville and returning to his hometown of Elk Grove, Michigan. There, he confronts Ruby. The former enemies have to form an uneasy alliance as Elk Grove soon becomes the nucleus of evil.

The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, “Burn Notice“) in the role of Ash Williams; Lucy Lawless (“Salem,” “Spartacus“) as Ruby Knowby, who now possesses the powerful Necronomicon; Ray Santiago (“Touch,” Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash’s loyal sidekick dealing with the trauma he suffered in the cabin; and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, who, grief-stricken after the death of her parents, plots revenge against The Evil Dead. Lee Majors (Do You Believe), Ted Raimi (“Xena: Warrior Princess,” Spider-Man) and Michelle Hurd (“Law & Order: SVU“) join the series this year as Brock Williams, Ash’s father, Chet Kaminski, Ash’s childhood best friend, and Linda, Ash’s high school love respectively.

Sam Raimi serves as Executive Producer with Rob Tapert (Evil Dead, “Spartacus,” Xena: Warrior Princess”), Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, “Burn Notice”) and Ivan Raimi (Drag Me To Hell, Spider-Man 3) along with Craig DiGregorio (“Workaholics,” “Chuck“) who serves as Executive Producer/Showrunner. Aaron Lam (“Spartacus”) and Moira Grant (“Spartacus”) serve as Producers.
