NBC has made a schedule change for the final Sunday of May sweeps, May 18th. The network has replaced Crisis and Believe with an encore of The Women of SNL.
While the Sunday night dramas haven’t been officially cancelled yet, they surely will be. Being pulled from the schedule during the sweeps period — replaced by a rerun of a clipshow, no less — is a very bad sign. The move isn’t a surprise though. Both Crisis and Believe have been performing terribly in the ratings.
Crisis is averaging a meager 1.1 in the 18-49 demographic with 4.48 million viewers. Believe is averaging a 1.3 in the demo with 5.45 million. Both shows drew a 1.0 in the demo this past Sunday and have each dropped below a ratings point in the past few weeks.
Both shows were already off the schedule this Sunday and are now expected to return on Sunday, May 25th. They each have 13 episodes in their respective seasons. Eight episodes of Crisis and nine episodes of Believe have aired so far.
Hopefully NBC will run all of the episodes. Hoepfully the finales will cap the series in satisfying ways. Unless there’s some kind of miracle, neither of these shows will be returning for a second season.

For years I stopped watching TV because what was the point of getting involved in a show only to have the networks pull it. Many networks ARE NOT counting DVR recordings in their audience polls. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is what first brought me back to TV. Then they cancelled it. I don’t really care if Believe comes back, but I’ve enjoyed watching it and would like to at least be able to see the season finale!
I feel like I must be the only person on earth, but I absolutely ADORE crisis. It’s my favourite show and I think the acting is amazing, I’ve always been a fan of Rachael Taylor. I’m really upset that they’re cancelling it after just one season, I think it deserves at least a few more.
I loved Almost Human more than any other show on television. It pulled 5.7 million viewers during its dip, despite having two episodes cut and the rest played out of order. If that didn’t make the cut, Believe and Crisis don’t have a chance. I would like to see a “Highway to Heaven” style show, but Believe has a pace that is just too slow for me, and the most ineffectual law enforcement agents on television. believe is great, but is played the same time as resurrection, that show is good too, i myself watch believe, then watch resurrection the next day on demand

I think American Dream Builders should’ve been pulled instead of the dramas. That show looks like crap and it pretty much prevented those shows from each building an audience. Crisis and Believe would’ve done better on other nights with better lead ins.

Believe is a great show, but it like Touched, Alctraz and numerous others is being yanked and will be leaving those of us who watch it with a void.
