The house is now empty. According to Deadline, NBC has cancelled Crowded after only one season.
The family sitcom stars Patrick Warburton and Carrie Preston as two middle-aged parents whose adult kids move back in with them. Miranda Cosgrove, Mia Serafino, and Stacy Keach also star.
Currently nearing the end of its first season, the multi-cam comedy has received only mild ratings so far, receiving an average of .98 in the 18-49 demo and 4.036 million viewers.
The season one finale is scheduled for May 22nd.

John is right. He got it nailed. It’s takes writers and good acting to make it something. NBC is another story. If this show was on Netflix, it would be a hit. Too bad NBC is too busy pleasing the shareholders and not the customer. I was one of the early ones to comment on this show. Read all the responses. John is the first one I have commented on. Most sitcoms are tired retreads of each other. Their formula = silliness + exaggeration + slapstick + obvious tells (to the punchline), with plenty of servings of unfunny blather. Soooo boring. BUT, Crowded was really funny, offering wittiness and unexpected turns. By cancelling it, NBC once again proves the adage, “Only the good die young.” My bet: if NBC gave it a few seasons to build, like they did for Seinfeld, this show would be a big hit. No one cares about TV anymore. Everything is streamed now, if they were able to count sites like couch tuner and whatever else the ratings would have been much higher. This was honestly the best show on TV and I barely watch cable because its filled with brain washing terrible shows. Not surprised NBC would do such a thing, just like every other station…cancel the best shows and keep the crap shows.
Certainly would have made it if it were a staged “reality” show!
It should continue to show how teenagers need to move on when time permits. This show is with the times.
The TV show CROWDED should try to see a better audience globally with kids moving back home, because it is ACTUALLY a reality.
Why not show this funny satire as everyone should see something out of reality.
I hate reality TV Shows like Cardashishan sister show, while they are now worth over 700 million…. what is wrong or compare with true reality comedy show of Crowded? I give it 10/10.
That’s just it! The Kardashians are an empty vapid steaming pile of crap who are famous for nothing but a sex tape, marrying athletes, and social media quacks! And yes, I too feel as though this is where the world is headed…. and to think this is the generation that is supposed to be coming up behind us….

Just watched the whole season On Demand and loved it! It was funny and not stupid like a lot of the comedies are today. Please bring it back!!!
