Fans of Ugly Betty just got some (possibly) good news. ABC is moving the dramedy to Wednesday nights at 10pm. Unfortunately, that’s spells bad news for fans of cancelled Eastwick.
Eastwick has had a tough time of it and has never quite found a wide audience. The show and its cast — including Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman, Paul Gross, Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright — have become popular with a devout group of viewers but it’s just not big enough to keep the show on the air.
The show was effectively cancelled last month when ABC opted to not order any additional episodes beyond the initial 13 installments.
Eastwick executive producer, Maggie Friedman, said that this would mean that many show storylines would go unresolved. On the positive side though, it seemed like ABC was committed to airing all of the episodes.

Unfortunately, it now appears that ABC has decided to pull the show off the air before the run is completed. Ugly Betty will take over the Eastwick timeslot on January 6th, bumping the last two episodes of the supernatural series from the schedule.
For now, it seems that the network has no plans to air the final installments of Eastwick. If ABC history is any indication, fans may have to wait until the summer months to see them — ala Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. If not, then they’ll be able to find them on DVD, if there is one.

Who cares if we see anymore of this garbage.The only thing topping Eastwick’s demise would be Ugly Betty’s demise.
It’s great that they are FINALLY sorting out the time slot for Ugly Betty, but to replace Eastwick with it is just a crime 🙁
Can’t Eastwick take Betty’s old slot? I love both Eastwick and Ugly Betty, they are two of my most favorite shows ever! The others being Desperate Housewives and Gossip Girl…
Eastwick is like “Desperate Housewives” meets “Charmed”… the perfect balance!
Please don’t cancel the show… I will be so disappointed if the show is canceled, along with many other people.
I am really tired of watching the new shows just to have them all get canceled! My daughters and I watch the show. I don’t think that ABC should just not air the last few episodes…air them!!!! I agree with others….it needs more promoting and more time. I think every show out there has seen a drop in viewers…maybe it’s the economy and more are working more. Give these shows a fair chance to succed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am very disappointed in the cancelation of Eastwick! Why, I mean really, why? I know a lot of people like and watch this series. I don’t normally get into any of the TV shows but I really like Eastwick. What a shame and they are replacing it with Ugly Betty. To bad!
I am very disappointed in the cancellation of Eastwick. I hope you take the time to read this. My husband and I decided to PVR a bunch of shows we have never seen before this fall. Some shows we taped include: Private Practice, The Good Wife, House, Mercy, Greys (Our alltime favorite), Modern Family, Flashpoint (another alltime favorite), Flashforward, Fringe and Eastwick. This is CRAZY. Why don’t they just air the last two during december and be done with it. THEY SAID they were going to air the damn episodes and so did the creator/producer Maggie Friedman. Put them up on HULU or something!!!! They cancelled it, we know, but come on….only a few episodes left. If they cancelled it because of ratings, why pull the last two? I couldn’t of said it any better myself. I feel exactly the same. Lets hope warner brothers eventualy listen to us and save the show. Thats a long shot I know but we can hope.

It won’t matter whether they air them or not, there is no conclusion in the final episode, which stinks. I guess we can hope that on some idle Saturday night at 10pm this upcoming Summer Eastwick will be on. Anyway, here’s hoping ABC follows through and let’s the other two or three episodes air in December, that would STINK if they wound up pulling those too.
I love Eastwick, it’s very funny. My daughter and I have been watching it from the beginning and are always eager for the next episodes. We were so disappointed when we heard that the show was being cancelled. Like everyone else I don’t understand why they won’t try another time slot. I certainly hope abc will air them and advertise it well enough, so fans will know when to watch. It seems anytime a good sci-fi or fantasy series comes along the network moves it all over the schedule so fans are never sure of the night or time.
agreed…i have been watching it online because you never see it advertise or anything, so every week i would watch it online and pray that it will come on my tv when it says its suppose to. NBC did this to a show last season called The Listener….never advertised it but it was a GREAT show, and then pulled it…im about to say im done with all these stations and stick to a network that doesnt pull any shows.
its amazing that they cancel the show and then the viewership gets better. Its screwed up that they wont even let the last few episodes air. I think they doomed this show from the beginning because they never gave it a fair shake.
ABC has some screwed up ideas when it comes to what works and what doesnt.
If Abc doesn’t air the last two shows, I am done with ABC. My friends have stopped watching the show because they know it will not have a final show. No wonder viewership has declined. My husband use to watch with me but has now stopped because he does not want to invest more time in this show. I am still watching, in hopes someone will save it. If Ugly Betty’s time slot is so poor, why not put Eastwick in that time slot. I will watch any day, any time, please save this show.

I am pissed. I loved this show! It was quirky and cool and fun. Poor Lindsay Price! She can’t catch a break…. ABC is stupid for cancelling. Sorry…that I just how I feel.
