The ABC TV show about what happens in the future apparently doesn’t have one. FlashForward has been cancelled after one season.
FlashForward begins as the world’s population blacks out for 137 seconds and they “flash forward” to see visions of their lives six months in the future. The series’ ensemble cast includes Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Jack Davenport, Zachary Knighton, Peyton List, Dominic Monaghan, Brian F. O’Byrne, Courtney B. Vance, Sonya Walger, and Christine Woods.
The series debuted in September and attracted a 4.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.47 million viewers. With a lot of buzz, it seemed like ABC had a hit. For week two, the ratings dropped to a still very respectable 3.7 and 10.73 million.
But then viewership just kept falling, hitting a low of a 2.1 in the key demo and just 7.1 million viewers. Then, ABC pulled the series for three months. The spin was that they would relaunch FlashForward after the Olympics.
The network gave the return a significant amount of promotion but it didn’t help. FlashForward’s ratings were even worse and they just kept dropping. They’ve gotten so bad that The CW has been beating them in the demo.
To no surprise, ABC has cancelled FlashForward after one season of 20 episodes. The series finale will air in two weeks, on May 27th.

If not for tv, then perhaps a dvd set sot those who want to can view it. Less expensive more profit selling the shows.
I seriously cannot believe that there is not a second season for this Awesome Show. This show trumps every other show that ABC is airing anyway! From the plot, to the storyline, development of characters, drama, action; everything was great! Truly there is no show like it! I do not understand how or why the ratings were bad, or why the show was cancelled; it makes absolutely NO sense.
It should have another series! It was a well made series which gripped the viewers watching! I am fed up of American TV Series getting axed when they are so good and interesting!
Why not ??? this serie was a wonderfull moment a good plot,storyline, script and set of good actors all was perfect and me and my friends and family we were stucked in front of our TV every week, and even now we are sometimes watching again and again season 1…………I agree why should a series such as this be cancelled when many others are still commissioned ????????? it is a shame………..even from France………..
Why ???
Why, when there are so many series that play to the minority that a series that has a good plot,storyline, script and set of good actors that is ‘pulled’ by apparent reduction in viewers. Especially in an era when this type of programme, or plot-line, is favoured today. With the excellent cast and the expert writers, why should a series such as this be cancelled when many others are still commissioned ?????????
My husband and I loved flash forward and it should never have been cancelled. It’s different from the usual shows and we don’t believe that the ratings were bad.
MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF ALWAYS TUNED IN EVERY THURSDAY OR WAS IT TUESDAY? Flashforward was an EXCELLENT show and I would love to see more seasons of it. They need to BRING BACK FLASHFORWARD!!!!!

Wrap it up? He’ll the end just left more questions. Yes it deserved a second season.
It is hard to believe the ratings were low but whether they were or not they could have made a season 2 dvd instead of showing on tv for those like myself who was sitting on the edge of my seat loving every thrilling moment. It was a great action packed original show that made you think and the way it ended was not omly great, it left you wanting more. I still do. I am so upset. This is the second time I got hooked on a show just to find out it was cancelled. Very frustrating cause it eould be great to have good quality shows on tv not have them cancelled. This show and The Event were amazing!!!
Simply bring it back, there is a lot of buzz up to today. 2015.
