It looks like the short run of Friends with Better Lives just got even shorter. CBS has decided to pull the already cancelled comedy from their schedule effective immediately.
Friends with Better Lives follows the lives of six young people who are at various stages of their lives — married, divorced, newly engaged, and single — with each wondering if the others have it better. The cast includes Majandra Delfino, Kevin Connolly, Brooklyn Decker, Rick Donald, Zoe Lister-Jones, and James Van Der Beek.
The network cancelled the show after five episodes had aired but it seemed like they planned to let all 13 installments run. Execs have now replaced future airings with reruns of Mom, a freshman sitcom that’s been renewed for a second season.
Friends with Better Lives was the network’s highest-rated show last Monday night and has been consistently drawing better numbers than its lead-in of 2 Broke Girls reruns.
It would seem that CBS has decided there’s more value in airing reruns of a show that’s coming back next fall than burning off original episodes of a show that’s been cancelled.
Here are the descriptions of two of the five episodes that may never air:

What do you think? Are you sorry that CBS has pulled Friends with Better Lives? Would you watch them at another time? Would you buy a DVD set?
Great sitcom I m so sad that cbs won t air just 5 more episodes
Great sitcom CBS are such *******
This is the funniest new show of the season. I can’t believe they cancelled it. Just shows the execs have no brains when it comes to good writing and what people like. The crap they are keeping on amazes me.
The end of the school year is never the best time to indicate the worth of a show because too many lives are being shifted around during finals and graduation at April’s end and May’s beginning. This show is witty, and the characters are lovable. The ratings were picking up the last two air dates; a result of friend telling friends about a great new show!
THANK GOODNESS IT IS CANCELLED. This show sucked. First episode and I was done
Best show out there. CBS is making a big mistake. 2 broke girls and mom is so stupid. Those shows need to go. Bring friends with better lives back. I hope another network picks them up and proves CBS wrong.
This is a great show…it’s one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in a long time!!! The people at CBS ARE SO ******* STUPID… It was the highest rated show last Monday.. So let’s take it off the air… DUMB PEOPLE!!!
Idiots! Just found it and got addicted and connected to the cast. Really bad decision, really bad.
F**k you CBS . Damn youll to hell. SONS OF B***H!!!
I love this show and can’t believe CBS is taking it off. One of the best new shows
out there. It reminds me of FRIENDS. You are making a mistake.
I really liked this show, I’m sad to see it go, I hope someone else picks it up or it goes online or something. There aren’t enough 30 min funny sitcoms on tv.
Bad move CBS, this was a funny show!!!
Once again CBS has lacked the wherewithal to give a very good series the time it needed to get the number one slot.
This is a sharp, well written and witty show.
It is in fact one of three comedic sitcoms we actually watch.
Please take the time you need to reflect and change this lackluster decision.
Another dumb show that never should have aired.
The dumbest thing they’ve ever done…this was the best show since friends
I truly think it’s the stupidest thing CBS had done & hopefully ABC or NBC will wisely pick it up……CBS I’m really sad & sadder for the ignorance of your people that made this decision 🙁 🙁 🙁
