canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

Where Are They Now? Green Room Chatter for September 7, 2007

by Trevor Kimball, September 7, 2007

As you may recall, the last season of My Name is Earl ended with the title character heading off to Camden County Jail. In the big house he’ll come face to face with none other than Craig T. Nelson from Coach! Nelson will play the prison’s warden who incidentally has a big interest in video games.

And speaking of Earl, Charmed alum Alyssa Milano is also joining the cast for at least eight episodes. She’ll be playing a character with a shady past who is inspired by Earl’s karma beliefs to turn her life around. Earl will meet Milano’s character through a fellow prison inmate named Frank played by Michael Rapaport (Dave on FOX’s cancelled The War at Home).

That Girl herself, Marlo Thomas, will be guesting on an upcoming episode of Ugly Betty on ABC. She’ll play the head of an ad agency who has a major attraction to younger men — specifically Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius).

Commander in Chief’s Julie Ann Emery will play a recurring role on October Road when it returns midseason. Emery will be playing the nasty ex of Ray (Warren Christie) who will go head-to-head with Hannah (Laura Prepon).

Lee Majors will be back on the boob-tube this Fall but you won’t find him on NBC’s Bionic Woman. The former Six Million Dollar Man will be appearing in at least three episodes of CW’s The Game as the new coach of the Sabers football team. His first appearance will be the October 1st episode. Majors will also be seen in Cartoon Network’s Ben 10 film that’s scheduled to air around Thanksgiving.

Ming-Na (Vanished and Inconceivable) will be visiting the CBS’ Two and a Half Men. She’ll be appearing in multiple episodes of the hit sitcom as a judge who’s out of Charlie’s league.

It looks like NBC’s 30 Rock is shaping up to be the show to watch for guest stars. Before heading off to film the political thriller Nothing But the Truth, Tony Soprano’s better half Edie Falco will appear on three episodes. Rip Torn (The Larry Sanders Show) and Will Arnett (Arrested Development) are expected to pop-up at some point during the season and Jerry Seinfeld (Seinfeld) will kick off 30 Rock’s October 4th premiere. Stay tuned! TV Series Finale home page

Just a heads up, Alyssa posted the following info on her blog…

“By the way, the info posted on tvguide.com about my story line is incorrect. The character will not be a “love interest” of Earl’s as of right now.”
