Jason Bateman (Arrested Development) has been signed to join Brad Pitt and Edward Norton in State of Play, a film based on the British mini-series. Bateman will play a key reporter in the investigation of the murder of an up-and-coming congressman (Norton). Pitt will play the politician’s former campaign manager who spearheads the paper’s investigation.
Nicholas Brandon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Kitchen Confidential) has landed a role on an upcoming episode off CBS’ Criminal Minds. He’ll be playing a computer expert named Kevin who helps the investigative team.
Former Kidnapped star Timothy Hutton has been signed to star in a pilot for TNT. Leverage tells the story of Nate Ford (Hutton), an investigator for big insurance companies, whose son dies as a result of those same companies denying him medical treatment. Stay tuned!
