It looks like Nick’s fights on Friday nights are far from over. NBC has renewed Grimm for a fifth season for 2015-16.
On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. Others in the cast include Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
Grimm is down by 7-10% in the ratings so far this season; averaging a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.99 million viewers. This season will see the fantasy crime drama reach the 88 episode mark, enough episodes for syndication. Next year it will likely reach 100 installments — quite an impressive feat for a genre series that airs on Friday nights on a major network.
What do you think? Do you like the Grimm TV show? Are you glad that it’s been renewed? How long should it continue?
I love the series. I started watching reruns on TNT and wanted to catch up so bought them on iTunes, unfortunately couldn’t find it on Netflix. I love the theme and entire plot. I love what happened to Julliette and am dying for her to wreak more havoc with the royals for a while. I do love Renard as well… Especially when his shirt keeps coming off! I was sad the well meaning Henrietta bit the dust… Does anyone think it may be Sean???
Love ya Nick and all the characters!
I hope it stays for more seasons I love the show very much!
Love the show! Hope is around for several more seasons! I do agree though that they have taken the Juliette thing too far and need to get her back to human. Hated what she did to the trailer and was concerned they were cancelling the show. Glad to hear it is coming back for another season. I also like Trouble and am glad to see they are bringing her back for the season finale.
I love this show..I hope it last many more seasons
I love this show..hope it stays on for many more seasons
Overall, I understand the ratings dropping. On the plus side, I’m glad Wu is now one of the “Scoobies;” that was far too long in coming. On the down side, I don’t really care what happens to Capt. Renard; he’s not a sympathetic character, and he’s only barely been on Nick’s side most of the time, so his present crisis doesn’t bother me. Maybe next time he falls into a swimming pool in his sleep he won’t wake up. Zero sum, there. Juliette becoming a hexenbiest (sp?) was a bad twist. In spite of her character gaining supernatural powers, and… Read more »
I absolutely love this series! I love the characters and the acting and the overall premise. It’s just pure enjoyment! I hope it has many more seasons!
Grimm is absolute enjoyment! We have been watching on TNT didn’t know the current episodes were on NBC so we’ve been catching up. We can hardly wait for the next episodes.
Avid Watcher – this kind of twist is what we Grimm fans love, give it time the writers know what they are doing. Juliette is pretty ugly at times but that makes the show exciting – never know what is coming next. I will never stop watching this show no matter what they decide to do.
Pure fun escapism at it’s best! Let’s hear it for season 10!
Grimm Rocks…..love the show and I am in the over 55 age bracket…..looking forward to many more seasons…..
Grimm had me hooked from the very 1st episode, I absolutely love it and can’t waith to watch every week. I’m so happy it’s been picked up for a 5th season and hope it continues from there… Way to go NBC for finally not cancelling a great show..
Well I was an avid watcher of Grimm but am extremely disgusted with Juliet’s transformation and may stop watching the show entirely because of it. My wife and I would watch every episode, but we are both dissatisfied and it leaves a bad taste in our mouth from what they have done with it. We really enjoy that Wu finally knows about Vesen, and think that all the main leads are great. They need to kill Juliet, she is now a disgusting vengeful creature that make us not want to watch the show.
Hoping next season is better.
Great!! Now, let’s hear it for a sixth season!!
Love the show. Looking forward to Season 5.
