It looks like Nick’s fights on Friday nights are far from over. NBC has renewed Grimm for a fifth season for 2015-16.
On Grimm, Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) continues to fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. Others in the cast include Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, Bree Turner, and Claire Coffee.
Grimm is down by 7-10% in the ratings so far this season; averaging a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.99 million viewers. This season will see the fantasy crime drama reach the 88 episode mark, enough episodes for syndication. Next year it will likely reach 100 installments — quite an impressive feat for a genre series that airs on Friday nights on a major network.
What do you think? Do you like the Grimm TV show? Are you glad that it’s been renewed? How long should it continue?
What a wonderful show. My girlfriend and I LOVE the warmth of the cast & the incredible job the crew is doing. Stories like this tv show need a chance to share the adventure that all its fans already enjoy to the rest of the world. Sometimes in life you need to go slow at first in order to go fast. Give it time NBC. It’s very rare to get a cast & crew together that just fires on all cylinders. The last time that we enjoyed a show like this was with the iconic tv series NORTHERN EXPOSURE which… Read more »

Thrilled to have Grimm renewed! Love the series!!!!
I love “Grimm ” tv series. It’s so full of unexpected events, great creatures, & police cases are out of this world. The actors are great, especially the main 6 actors. I am so glad there will be another season. Can hardly wait…
Great show, different from any other show on TV. Great idea different from all the cop, lawyer, softer, secret agent, or dime a dozen super hero shows. I’m retired on disability, so understandably I watch a lot of TV. Network TV is pretty sad and cable TV is a little better I end up with pay per view. Grimm is one of the best network TV has to offer, hope they don’t cancel it. They still have room to grow. I realize that shows go flat and time to go but I don’t think Grimm has reached that point yet.
grimm is one of the best shows on tv. I’m looking forward to season 5. I want to see what happens when nick discovers Juliette is part wessen. I can hardly wait!!!
I LOVE THIS SHOW, AND HAVEN’T MISSED ONE EPISODE. BRING BACK TRUBEL & LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO NICK’S BABY & ADELIND & THE ROYALS. ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL SHOWS ON TV.
Keep it on the air. Renew it!!!!!
My family ( especialyy my husband and I so totally look fotrward to every eppisode! So often, it seems that the shows we truly enjoy are discontinued….hopefully, there are so many avenues and venues the writers can explore , this how could successfully last for mana, many more seasons. If the writers get stumped as to how the watchers would like to develop the storyboard, ask me. I’ m good at knowing the pulse of the average , INTELLIGENT audience! Confidently and a true fan, Cheryl.
As much as I enjoy the Grimm characters, especially Monroe and Rosalee, the show seems to be running out of storylines, since everyone in the circle of friends know about the supernatural abilities. End it with a bang in Season 5.
I am addressing the comment “running out of story lines”. I have absolutely no ability to write, but I can hardly wait to see what is coming with Adalind’s baby and Nick’s mother and Trubel and on and on and on.
How many new story lines did Star Trek do and for how many years I believe that the people writing Grimm have the same talent as did Gene Rod.
Let’s see how well these talented people do in the future!
Grimm is great. It is one of only two shows I liked enough to actually buy the fourth season on Amazon. I would rather watch commercial free on Amazon than watch full of stupid commercials. I hope whoever looks at ratings doesn’t just look at original air time on the network. I’m sure there are millions using the internet to enjoy this show.
a friend of mind suggested grimm to us and i was addicted after the first show…i watched all 4 seasons within a few days…just waiting for season 5!!! i love this show it has the best of crime drama mixed with fantasy..cant go wrong!!
I am a 84 year old who loves fairy tales. I had to go back to the premier of the show to appreciate what was going on. I love this show and am now watching all of episode 1,2, and 3 again. During current series 4 I could hardly wait for the next week show. There are a number of reasons I love this show. I have lived in Portland I love the staring characters and laugh and cringe at many of the monsters. Also, the way that so many themes are woven into the show is truly exciting. I… Read more »
In the beginning I was unsure if this television series would hold my attention for very long. As it has progressed it seems to not only hold my attention but leaves me desiring for the next segment. My wife and I love the series and hope it will continue again for another 5 seasons.
I love Grimm. But I can’t stand every time I go to my DVR to watch it and it wasn’t on. Or when it comes back on its a re-run. I can see how others lose interest because of the lack of consistent showing. Guess I’ll be waiting like everyone else for March 20th.
My husband and I have watched and enjoyed “Grimm”, since it started. We look forward to it and are thrilled to see that it has been renewed 2015-16. Didn’t real the most recent show was te finale! When does it restart;we wouldn’t like to miss an episode!
