Year-to-year, Hawaii Five-0 was down by an astounding 47% in the demo (vs a 3.4 rating) and 34% in viewers (vs 12.19 million). It should be noted that last season’s opener had the advantage of airing on the same night as the first Ashton Kutcher episode of Two and a Half Men.
Still, this season’s opener represents an all-time low for Hawaii Five-0 in both the demo and viewers. That’s not good.
Reference point: The 2011-12 season averaged a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.67 million viewers.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Hawaii Five-0 TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

Please do not cancel H5O – interesting plots also like the cast and guest stars. Although I have to agree with a previous comment that stated – the acting is no where in the category of Jim Caviezel in the show “Person of Interest” – the whole cast on that show are of a different caliber. My Husband loves “Person of Interest”. Best shows for me are “Parenthood” and “Blue Bloods”. We also love Mike & Molly- great cast and lots of laughs.
Bottom line H5O is worth keeping on just to watch Alex O’Loughlin.
I love watching BOTH Hawaii Five-O and Revolution, taping them simultaneously on my DVR is a simple way to pull this off. CBS would be fools to not renew the new Hawaii Five-O franchise, it is very entertaining, scenic and the plots are well done.
Love the show. Please keep it.
This is my favorite show on tv since brothers and sisters was cancelled. I cant miss this show each week. They have many other shows that need to be cancelled first, such as castle or revolution. some of these reality shows. This show has the quality to last at leats the 12 years the original did. A great cast, spectacular scenery, and great storylines! Not to mention great guest stars! Keep It On!
Keep it!
Leave this show on!!! It is a tremendously awsome show. Cancel football or better yet, leave ALL the sports on the durn sports channels!! That is where they belong!! Leave OUR channels alone!!! Quit putting sports on our durn channels!!!! Please leave Hawaii Five-O on!!! It is a great show!!!
The football against Hawaii 50 is on ESPN, which is a sports network. ESPN had football on Monday nights last year. So I don’t think you can blame football for Hawaii 50s problem.
Hawaii Five-0 is an awesome show. They should try moving it to another night. I love watching it. Keep making the show. It’s the best show out there.
Love the show. Alex O. and Scott C. are great together. They have tremendous chemistry.
I love Hawaii Five-0 would like even better if they would show my show on Monday nights and cancel football. CSI Miami was the same way and now they cancelled it maybe its ratings would be up if they showed them instead of football. Any show they put on sunday or monday night they are trying to drop their ratings and it works because they do not show them for have the season. Please leave Hawaii Five-0 ON it is awesome.
Yes, they should cancel football. It would make the ratings so much better. I think football is boring anyway.
Monday night football is on ESPN, 50 is on CBS.
[…] CBS, a rerun of Hawaii Five-0 brought a 0.6 rating with 3.4 million and a Criminal Minds encore attracted a 0.9 rating with 4.7 […]
LOVE, LOVE THIS SHOW. ALEX O’LOUGHIN IS SO SEXY. PLEASE KEEP THE SHOW ON
Love the show, love the cast and the stories this year are better. We need more H50!
I LOVE THE SHOW ! It has great actors and a great plot. I live in Australia and there are a lot of Aussies who love this show because of many reasons, whilst the show might not get many views on the channel it is being aired, many people watch it on sites and different channels that air because they might of missed it. So please renew the show for another season and keep up with the great work !
I absolutely love H5O! I thing it’s great – I suppose it could be better, I just cannot imagine how… It’s on only an action series, it’s also fun, and touching, and their characters… they actually have a character!
It would be tottaly unfair to cancell it now.
This show sucks. Very bad acting and ridiculous plot. Csi Miami was getting at least 20% stronger numbers in the same slot when it mas moved because it was not doing well enough for Monday nights. This remake just had the luck of having a great lead in and NO NBC competition for 2 years. And now that NBC has something there for viewers to watch , H50 bombs, expected, because it is crap and viewers were only watching because there was nothing else on. Person of Interest is a great show. Someone should check Jim Caviezel to see what… Read more »
