Variety reports TNT has cancelled three of their series: Legends, Public Morals, and Agent X.
The announcement comes on the same day the network granted season renewals for The Librarians, Major Crimes, and Murder in the First.
Starring Sean Bean, Legends’ second season premiered in November, after a complete series revamp. Ratings were poor for season one, with an average viewership of only 1.53 million. But even with a new showrunner and serialized approach to the spy drama, the second season has not fared much better in the ratings.
TNT’s new historical cop drama Public Morals debuted in August. However, the freshman series starring Ed Burns as a member of NYPD’s Public Morals Division in the 1960s, performed even worse in the ratings than season two of Legends. Season one only garnered an average 18-49 demo rating of .15 and an average of 880,000 total viewers.
TNT’s other freshman series, Agent X, premiered in November. The series, which stars Sharon Stone as a new Vice President in charge of a secret operative, has fared better than the first season of Public Morals in the ratings, but not by much. With only three episodes left, the series has averaged a total of 1.066 million viewers.
Legends ends it second season on December 28th, while Agent X ends is first and only season on December 27th.
What do you think? Did you watch either Legends, Public Morals, or Agent X? Are you disappointed they were cancelled?
I feel that TNT is making a mistake by ending Agent X I would prefer it over a cop move seen so many cop movies that end up as a joke at the end.. Agent X was a a great Series shame to see it end…
Should keep Agent X cancel Legends
Great series, one of the best, all I can do is shake my head this show was canned…George in Pittsburgh
I love Agent X and I am very surprised that TNT has given the show such a small opportunity for success…only 2 months in the air during the end of the year. They should reconsider.
I’m saddened to hear that Agent X has been cancelled….I think it’s better than most shows on television today! Hoping another network picks it up or that TNT reconsiders.
Agent X is a must see TV show its filled with action . And i think that Sharon Stone is magnifisent n its much better than the Bond Series
To ad enjoyed Agent X – why world stars consider TNT? Agent X and Public Morals were good shows. I guess they can always go o the USA network!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Agent X and I am very disappointed that it had been canceled. It was a fresh and exciting series to watch and very entertaining. I will surly miss the show.
Sharon Stone killed Agent X. It just got stupid with the 2 actors playing the Prez and VP. Legends Season 2 was just beyond annoying. Both shows had possibilities but the writers for these shows screwed it up.
If TNT was willing to renew The Librarians after the first season, then they should definitely be giving Agent X more time to find it’s audience. Let’s be honest, I watch the Librarians, but it wasn’t the best first season.
Librarians is 1 of the stupidest show out there. You keep it but cancel Agent X. You obviously don’t know what viewers want.
Amen to that!!!
Agent X is a really good and interesting series. Do Not Cancel it!
I really liked agent X – I too will not be watching any new programs on TNT they need to give shows a longer chance. My hope is some other network will pick up Agent X.
I watch Legends and Agent X!!!! Love both shows .. They keep you on your toes! Please don’t cancel them.
I love Agent X. The characters are very interesting, the story line is good. Please DO NOT TAKE IT OF. Give it another season.
