Variety reports TNT has cancelled three of their series: Legends, Public Morals, and Agent X.
The announcement comes on the same day the network granted season renewals for The Librarians, Major Crimes, and Murder in the First.
Starring Sean Bean, Legends’ second season premiered in November, after a complete series revamp. Ratings were poor for season one, with an average viewership of only 1.53 million. But even with a new showrunner and serialized approach to the spy drama, the second season has not fared much better in the ratings.
TNT’s new historical cop drama Public Morals debuted in August. However, the freshman series starring Ed Burns as a member of NYPD’s Public Morals Division in the 1960s, performed even worse in the ratings than season two of Legends. Season one only garnered an average 18-49 demo rating of .15 and an average of 880,000 total viewers.
TNT’s other freshman series, Agent X, premiered in November. The series, which stars Sharon Stone as a new Vice President in charge of a secret operative, has fared better than the first season of Public Morals in the ratings, but not by much. With only three episodes left, the series has averaged a total of 1.066 million viewers.
Legends ends it second season on December 28th, while Agent X ends is first and only season on December 27th.
What do you think? Did you watch either Legends, Public Morals, or Agent X? Are you disappointed they were cancelled?
Please renew Agent X TNT! This is an amazing show which gripped me week after week!
I loved Agent X and Legends!
I loved Legends! Why cancel a show that keeps you glued to the TV and gets you excited about Mondays! TNT you are full of crap for cancelling this great show.
Please renew Agent X
Legends and Sean Bean have been extremely entertaining. I certainly wasn’t expecting a cancelation for such a valuable show.
I really liked AgentX. Jeff is another Steve McQueen. He has his smile and the action was great. I would reconsider.
I loved the show legends what a greats show, they made so many changes and that was not what was needed, not knowing who you are for a whole season was the problem. Hope some other channel pick the show up.
I love Agent X. TNT needs to reconsider.
I loved Agent X. Granted it was a few episodes before the show found its stride but when it did… WOW! That’s a top-notch cast and the writing caught up to the acting. So… let Netflix take advantage of another network mistake… please? MORE JOHN CASE, Natalie, Malcolm, and Olga! More, more, more!
I love Agent X it was really good show, I would record it and watch it when I got off the road and back home. TNT should rethink this.
Every time a good show comes on its cancelled. Why bother trying to enjoy watching when we know the so called smart guys will axe it. It’s very disappointing.
Loved agent x. It gets better each episode. Right up there with madam secretary but with more 007 thrown in. I guess we need to make room for some more really gargbage reality shows. It’s getting more and more difficult to want to hold on to my cable tv with so much junk on it these days. I am really hoping Netflix picks up Agent X
I really liked Legends and Public Morals. Both were excellent gritty shows. I am very disappointed by TNT’s decisions. If TNT allowed additional seasons of such shows, maybe they would find an audience.
HELLO Amazon Prime, or Netflix, or Hulu… it’s yet another, Agent X fan calling! And YES Agent X is definitely worth your time and money to keep on the air!!! And I’m predicting you’re not going to let me down… right? 🙂 Thanks!!!
This why I want to cancel my cable and just watch Netflix or My Apple TV ..the networks keep cancelling all the new great shows after one or 2 seasons. I’m tired of being let down by these networks.. I DVR agent x and Legends because of time restraints doesn’t mean No ones watching!!! Change the way you Rate these shows!!!!
