FXX has pulled the plug on Legit after two seasons. Tonight’s episode will also serve as the comedy’s series finale.
Legit revolves around a fictional version of Australian stand-up comic Jim Jeffries who’s made it big on the comedy circuit in the US and now wants to grow up. His friends and Venice, CA roommates are his divorced and alcoholic best friend, Steve (Dan Bakkedahl), and Steve’s brother, Billy (DJ Qualls) who suffers from muscular dystrophy. Episodes are based on Jeffries’ stand-up routines.
The series has struggled in the ratings, particularly once it moved from FX to FXX. As a result, the cable channel has decided they don’t want a third season.
In a post on his Facebook page, Jeffries wrote, “Legit has been cancelled. Sorry to everyone who was a fan of the show, please watch tonight it’s the final two episodes. I am very proud of the work that I did on this show and I made friends that ill have for life. So I’m going to try and not be sad about this.”

I’m not a bit surprised. The first season it was wacky and hilarious. Then this year it got trashy like pathetic stand up comedy that has to revert to “dirty” talk to get the point across. This season was not funny… well, not to me anyway.
Boycott fox fx fxx etc etc. **** them if we care snout Jim j or anybody whos been **** on by the ratings monster let’s do it everybody in jim n crew need us!

well that was a bad idea, probably the only show that comes even close to being as funny as ‘it’s always sunny’ super disappointing
What was the point of FXX? Nothing is able to get traction over there ! The channel is still new and the shows there should get more time! Ihope Legit can be revived by Netflix or Hulu down the line. Something like this would be right up there alley !

I don’t post things ever and never really invested much in TV but legit on fxx made me feel something . Now its taken away and we don’t know what ends up! Jim Jefferies is a comedy genius and deserved prime time. Please fxx bring him back the show was genius but I guess not as good as Wilfred or married….dumbasses I have been following Jim from talks hit and was ecstatic when I heard about legit all I could do was wait and now u cross him off like he’s nothing . Fox is lame. So lame. Legit was dark, edgy and different. It takes a few years for shows like this to build up a big fan base. It was awesome. Hopefully the show gets picked up on another station, or Fox realizes what it lost 5 years later like they did with Family Guy. Shame on you Fox. Shame on you.
Dumb ********! What are you doing Canceling the best show on TV. Louis is a great show too, but, seriously, didn’t you idiots learn from the “Family Guy” debacle? I don’t know what the ratings were, but the show has been a hit with audience that has seen it. Lack of promotion on a fledgling channel that isn’t carried, or at least known to many. PONDEROUS.!?

Dammit, I and many others love the show. Granted it’s not for all audiences but has rated very well on IMDB/RT etc. Doesn’t surprise me though, the networks cancel soo many good shows before they have run the course and yet run others into the ground year after year. GRRRRRR, not happy.

well, it’s happened again. Doesn’t Fox own FXX? They seem to have a knack of canceling every single show that I like. Its just astounding to me! I think the entire cast was great Jim. makes me sad. Robbie
