Little House on the Prairie is headed to the big screen. According to Variety, Paramount has a film based on the television series that starred Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert.
The original series aired on NBC for 10 seasons, and it was loosely based on the children’s book series written by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
This film has been in the works since 2012 by Sony, but it is now being developed by Paramount. It was reported that Sony had concerns about the $45-million-dollar budget for the film.

Would be very interested in ” Little House” remake. How about Michael Landon Jr. as Charles Ingalls
I would like to see ‘Matthew Labyorteaux play Michael Landon’, because both guys have dark brown – thick curly hair. Also both guys are the same height (altho Matthew has light brown eyes & Michael has green), I believe Matthew would be perfect to play Landon. It is also known that Matthew was very closed to Michael Landon, & was his adopted son on Little House on the Prairie. I would like to see at least one of the members of Little House play Charles Ingalls in the movie. What is everyone else’s opinion?

I think it depends on what actors are in it….I love the stories. It would have to pique my interest first.
Not sure why they’d want to with different actors. They’ve tried other versions before, but they’ve never been as good. They should just bring the old movie to theaters.
