Lost aired for six seasons on ABC before it ended, and fans are still as fanatical about the series nearly six years after its end as they were when the show aired week to week. Is there a chance of an ABC reboot of the popular series?
One member of the cast, Dominic Monaghan, doesn’t think a reboot will happen. He spoke about the possibility of a reboot during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“Talking about bringing [the show] back but, I certainly don’t think any of the original cast would come back to it. I don’t know how they could. People always ask me, ‘if they brought it back, would you do it?’ For me that always feels like a weird question, because if you do something to 100% of your ability and you have an amazing time doing it, why would you revisit that thing? You know, if you baked an amazing cake and all your friends ate it and they were like, ‘that was the best cake we’ve ever had in our life, can you make it again right now?’ I’d be like ‘no, I did it, I loved it, I achieved my mission and I’m done. So, I love Lost. I love where it is in my life. I love the fact that people will always talk to me about it. But, it’s done. It’s over. It’s on to the next one [for me].”
Other members of the cast are still asked about the series and its ending. Josh Holloway just spoke about the finale while promoting his new USA Network series, Colony.
