Will there be a Lost reboot? Recently, executive producer Damon Lindelof spoke with TVLine about a possible revival of the ABC TV show.
The ensemble drama followed a group of strangers who are stranded on a mysterious island after a plane crash. The cast included Matthew Fox, Josh Holloway, Evangeline Lilly, Terry O’Quinn, Daniel Dae Kim, Jorge Garcia, and Yunjin Kim.
Speaking to TVLine, Lindelof confessed if there is a Lost reboot he hopes they won’t use the same characters featured in the original ABC series:
I’ve thought about it a lot. [I] hope that when that happens, whoever is doing it, doesn’t take the characters from the original Lost and put them in the new one. Because we worked so hard to end that show and to give [the survivors] some level of closure. I know there was some debate as to whether or not there was enough closure…”
And would Lindelof return for a Lost revival?
It would be really exciting if there’s another incarnation of Lost, I just won’t have any association with it. Not because I’m too good for it. I just feel like, again, we worked so hard to end our story, that to come back and say, ‘Well, that wasn’t the real ending,’ would be frustrating.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Lost? Would you watch a reboot?
Noo, let’s tell the rest of the details that were missing. For instance, how did the Vikings get to be on the island when they were telling how Jacob & The black smoke came about. It would be an amazing spin off.
I can tell you another thing it b will be missing. Me as a watcher.
God no! It was a terrific show, let it rest in peace.
