PBS has released new character introductions for the doctors and nurses in their upcoming Civil War miniseries, Mercy Street.

The drama premieres on January 17th.

In the series, Josh Radnor stars as Dr. Jebediah Foster, a “brilliant surgeon” who works alongside Nurse Mary Phinney (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) at Mansion House Hospital, which is located in Union-occupied Virginia during the American Civil War. Norbert Leo Butz, Tara Summers, and Peter Gerety also star.
