Mercy Street aired its finale on PBS on Sunday night, and there is no word yet from the network if the series will return for a second season.
However, one member of the cast is hopeful that PBS will bring back the series for a second season, and he made that clear when he posted on his Twitter after the finale aired.
Jack Falahee stars on Mercy Street as Frank Stringfellow, and he sent the following message to his Twitter followers on Sunday night.
Thank you all for watching #MercyStreetPBS and supporting @PBS – you guys are rad. I hope we’ll be able to continue this journey together. X

Falahee also stars on ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder as Connor Walsh. Are you a fan of Mercy Street? Do you want a second season of this series? Tell us what you think.
Loved Mercy Street. Want at least Season 2! As a genealogist, this time in our history is fascinating. The historical detail is amazing, really an insightful glimpse to our past.
The quality of Mercy Street was astounding to me after following on the heels of Downton Abbey. I pray that Mercy Street will be renewed for a second season.
