TV show description:
Based on UK TV series of the same name, this drama follows the scandalous lives of a sexy and sassy group of four girlfriends — each on her own path to self-discovery.
Savannah “Savi” Davis (Alyssa Milano) is a successful career woman who’s working toward the next phase in her life — both professionally and personally. She’s bucking for partner at the law firm where she works and is also trying to start a family with her husband, Harry (Brett Tucker). They’ve been trying to get pregnant for some time, but when their fertility issues begin to take center stage, Savi finds herself attracted to a flirtatious colleague named Dominic Taylor (Jason George).
Savi’s free-spirited and capricious baby sister is Josslyn Carter (Jes Macallan). She couldn’t be more different from Savi; living the single life, dating and partying, and regularly leaning on her big sister. Josslyn is a real estate agent who has no interest in a committed, long-term relationship.
Their common best friend, April Malloy (Rochelle Aytes), is a recent widow and the mother of a ten-year-old daughter. In an effort to rebuild her life and move forward, April opens a shop for home decorating. After she receives her late husband’s lucrative life insurance check, she begins getting prank phone calls. April tells her closest girlfriends that she’s convinced that her husband is still alive.
Meanwhile, Karen Kim (Yunjin Kim) is a therapist with a thriving practice. She reconnects with the girls after her involvement in a complicated relationship with a wealthy, married patient goes too far. She was having an affair with a terminally ill client, Tom, to whom she had prescribed morphine.
After Tom’s death, his distraught son, Sam Grey (Erik Stocklin), confides in a guilt-ridden Karen — unaware of her role in his father’s life. The grieving widow, Elizabeth Grey (Penelope Ann Miller), has no idea her late husband had a romance with another woman.
Episode #52 — The Show Must Go On
Fast-forward several months, Joss and Harry, as well as April and Marc, are happily married and are new parents. Marc takes on the role of an overly concerned, overly attentive parent, while Harry is more hands-off as he tries to navigate how to be a father. Harry’s world is turned upside down when he meets Gabe, someone from his past.
First aired: September 6, 2016
What do you think? Do you like the Mistresses TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
This is a great series and should not be cancelled. I am hoping for a long running series! Please don’t cancel. I use to watch desperate housewives and was saddened when the series and cancelled…..but then along came Mistresses and it is so much better!!
I think mistresses and rookie blue should be renewed.
Malloy it appears will have a relationship with the White boy & will forgive him for lying to her and he doesn’t have to through any punishment like the African-American man did when he lied to her. She has support in the white boy has support for them to get together but the African American males did not have that same support . Malloy daughter sounds like a little white girl, yet non of the whites try to sound filipino, Asian, or Jamaica , interesting. The African American Man & Woman are not to be seen as capable of having… Read more »
I watch it it’s a good show to watch this is the best ABC show I have ever watched!
what happened to Alyssa Milano? The show is not the same this year – very disappointed although what’s going on now with Joss is sort of exciting – is Alyssa coming bacj>? i bet she will to help her sister out ??????????????
also, do not like calista at all or her character
The show moved production from LA to Vancouver and Alyssa Milano was not willing to move/travel. I don’t think she’s coming back!
This show is a sign of how decadent television and the low the character of American people has become. It glorifies mistresses and the men involved with them, both of whom are adulterers. I showcases a lesbian relationship and other unsavory situations. It is trash television for trashy people and a waste of my time. I would never watch it, and only saw the commercials after the much better show, Astronaut’s Wives.
Yet it was important enough that you felt the need to put others down for the make believe they watch. I’d rather be around people who watch trashy things, than mean people such as yourself.
Obviously you’ve never watched the damn show..If you did you would realize they aren’t all involved with married men! OMG
I LOVE April! I hope to see Rochelle Aytes on other series.
I am obsessed with ;mistresses;! Please keep it around!!
I love this show and hope it isn’t canceled.
Didn’t like Harry with Joss.
Love this show!!! Hate Joss with Harry! They should stop that relationship now!
I would like to see it return for 1 more season.
Don’t cancel. Miss the show
