TV show description:
Based on UK TV series of the same name, this drama follows the scandalous lives of a sexy and sassy group of four girlfriends — each on her own path to self-discovery.
Savannah “Savi” Davis (Alyssa Milano) is a successful career woman who’s working toward the next phase in her life — both professionally and personally. She’s bucking for partner at the law firm where she works and is also trying to start a family with her husband, Harry (Brett Tucker). They’ve been trying to get pregnant for some time, but when their fertility issues begin to take center stage, Savi finds herself attracted to a flirtatious colleague named Dominic Taylor (Jason George).
Savi’s free-spirited and capricious baby sister is Josslyn Carter (Jes Macallan). She couldn’t be more different from Savi; living the single life, dating and partying, and regularly leaning on her big sister. Josslyn is a real estate agent who has no interest in a committed, long-term relationship.
Their common best friend, April Malloy (Rochelle Aytes), is a recent widow and the mother of a ten-year-old daughter. In an effort to rebuild her life and move forward, April opens a shop for home decorating. After she receives her late husband’s lucrative life insurance check, she begins getting prank phone calls. April tells her closest girlfriends that she’s convinced that her husband is still alive.
Meanwhile, Karen Kim (Yunjin Kim) is a therapist with a thriving practice. She reconnects with the girls after her involvement in a complicated relationship with a wealthy, married patient goes too far. She was having an affair with a terminally ill client, Tom, to whom she had prescribed morphine.
After Tom’s death, his distraught son, Sam Grey (Erik Stocklin), confides in a guilt-ridden Karen — unaware of her role in his father’s life. The grieving widow, Elizabeth Grey (Penelope Ann Miller), has no idea her late husband had a romance with another woman.
Episode #52 — The Show Must Go On
Fast-forward several months, Joss and Harry, as well as April and Marc, are happily married and are new parents. Marc takes on the role of an overly concerned, overly attentive parent, while Harry is more hands-off as he tries to navigate how to be a father. Harry’s world is turned upside down when he meets Gabe, someone from his past.
First aired: September 6, 2016
What do you think? Do you like the Mistresses TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
This was another GREAT SHOW that was canceled. I looked forward to this show and of course you have to go ahead and canceled a show that people love, shows like these need to stays and some of these comedies and reality shows need to go. Wise up people, bring back the shows that we love, Mistresses and Devious Maids. shame on you for cancelling these shows.
I agree, what do yu mean short season 6? It is one of the best shows!!!! I look forward every week!! Please do not cancel the show!! Don’t understand why you would!!
I can not believe that this wonderful show “Mistresses” is being cancelled! Why are all the great tv series being cancelled and really terrible ones remaining? It just doesn’t make any sense. Hope the higher powers are reading these comments and reconsider.
I am very upset that Mistresses is cancelled. I watched faithfully every week
I don’t have cable so all the shows I watch are streamed. I had no idea this show was cancelled. I agree with the other comments. This is a great summer show, and we need closure!
Please bring Mistresses back as a summer series. There is so little to watch over the summer months and this was a great show. I loved all the characters.
That totally stinks, I loved this show! There is so much that we, as true fans want to know!
Please, please, please bring them back!! We need closure.
I agree with many of the comments, they need to have at least a short season 6, perhaps 6 episodes to wrap things up as there were too many questions left unanswered, like who is the woman who says she’s Karen Kim? What about Harry’s new son that he didn’t know about? Will Savi ever come back? Yes ABC is sucking when it comes to cancelling shows which is why it’s hard to get invested in all these new shows when you just know they’ll be cancelled right when things get good. “Forever” anyone?
I think the September 6th episode was a good place to end the series. The shocking death of Karen did it for me! I watched the series loyally for all of its seasons and I think this is a good place to lay it to rest along with dear Karen.
Please dint cancel this show…looked forward to every season and this cliff hanger needs to be brought out. Excellent show with great actors and actresses. Love it!!!
Renew the show!
ABC is famous for cancelling great television series. No concern for the viewers, just profit! This we a great series and I will no longer support ABC with my viewership. Every show I have invested in is cancelled! Adios ABC!!!!!!!
I am bummed to be left with the finale and no Season 5 – please don’t leave the audience hanging.
please do not cancel the show
