Parenthood follows the lives of the extended Braverman family in Northern California. The large ensemble cast includes Bonnie Bedelia, Joy Bryant, Tyree Brown, Max Burkholder, Erika Christensen, Lauren Graham, Miles Heizer, Sam Jaeger, Peter Krause, Xolo Mariduena, Craig T. Nelson, Monica Potter, Savannah Paige Rae, Dax Shepard, and Mae Whitman.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I just watched all of the episodes on netflix….so sorry I didn’t get to watch it on the regular TV because I would have been one of many to up the ratings….I love this show…the actors are perfect…the writers are way beyond perfect to keep us interested show after show…never was bored with it…and now that I found it it is going???? I agree with previous commentor show was not advertised enough….that is the way it goes though…you finally find something on the tube which is not offensive and they take it off…please network continue this show!!!

I just discovered this show as well. Leads me to think that the studio didn’t advertize it well. LOVE this show and the realness of all the characters.
I have had the pleasure of watching and getting to know the Braverman family through Netflix. I am on the last season and truly upset that it has to end. As parents this show gives us all someone to relate to. Each Braverman can be compared to someone in our family. This was an incredible show, with amazing actors and actresses. So sorry to see a show with true meaning and purpose lose ratings to mindless reality TV! C’mon America! #bringbackthebravermans

My husband and I watched it on Netflix, then season 6 on Comcast On Demand. We both cried at the ending. This show really needs to make a comeback. Best show ever.
The BEST SHOW ever!! The storyline so could have gone on forever with such a great cast and I am in withdrawals since the end of the show, but at least I can watch it forever as I actually bought the whole series on DVD and I have only done that for one other show which was Friends. Over 50 so what I say doesn’t matter to the networks they are only interested in the young demographics who watch Netflix streaming so in my view shouldn’t even be counted in the ratings! I, too, just got privy to Netflix (a little behind the curve) and Parenthood is the first series I tried. I am so upset that I didn’t catch wind of this show sooner and I don’t understand how it didn’t last just as long as Grey’s Anatomy or any other great show. This show has actually been great for my husband and I. We don’t mutually enjoy many shows and this one was just so relatable and completely addicting. It ended too soon. Really bummed!
Watching parenthood on Netflix and Hulu has truly been a blessing. My husband and children adored it. It was perfect for our entire family, which is a broad range of ages. This is awful they cancelled the show. NBC you have disappointed many people with this decision. Shame on you. BRING PARENTHOOD BACK!!!!!!!
I don’t see why you cancelled the show. Many people watched it and I am watching it on Netflix and Hulu now.
There are enough people and couples on the show for it to keep going. We need some real life type shows on television.
Please bring the show back! This show was so amazing and I want to keep following the families stories and all that. I didn’t find out about the show until it was too late but I binge watched it that’s how much I loved it! Even watched it at work!

I thought this was by far one of the best tv shows I’ve watched in a long time. I loved it am miss it. I agree with Pamela, i had to DVR (record) the show and watch it later, maybe that’s why the ratings were low, you did no get an accurate count due to viewers recording it! PLEASE BRING IT BACK #NBCPARENTHOOD
We LOVE parenthood. The only problem is it is shown so late at night that we have to record it and watch it the next day. As a parent of children with autism, it really does give a glimpse of what life is like for parents and families and so many people are diagnosed as adults that bringing that into the series has been brilliant. Please bring it back. It looks at SO many life issues in a rea way.
