The Parents Television Council thinks Pitch is a home run. Recently, the PTC urged FOX to move the series to another timeslot, Deadline reports.
The baseball drama follows Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury), the first woman to play for a Major Baseball League team. The cast also includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, and Tim Jo.
Recently, the PTC begged FOX to move Pitch to another day and night so it will gain more viewers and not get in the way of sports broadcasts:
We are urging Fox to ensure that ‘Pitch’ hits a home run with families by airing it on a different night that doesn’t conflict with other family-oriented sports programming, such as NFL broadcasts.
Families are hungry for TV shows that can be enjoyed by, and are safe for, the entire family, and ‘Pitch’ is a rare option in the TV universe.”
Currently, Pitch airs on Thursdays and has so far received somewhat low ratings, earning an average of 1.04 in the 18-49 demo and 3.952 million viewers.
What do you think? Have you seen Pitch? Do you think FOX should move the show’s timeslot?
