TV show description:
A comedy, this series revolves around childhood best friends Maggie Caruso (Lennon Parham) and Emma Crawford (Jessica St. Clair). They’ve shared countless adventures growing up together in the charming town of Pinebrook, CT. Now, they’re about to have one of their biggest adventures — raising a baby.
When Maggie discovers that her husband Bruce (Brad Morris) is having an online affair (with a muscular German woman), Emma gives up her burgeoning business career in China to stay in their hometown and help Maggie raise her baby.
Meanwhile, as Maggie prepares for the birth of her first child and the fallout of her marriage ending, Emma must confront the past that she abruptly left behind thirteen years ago. Her first love and local cop Mark Rodriguez (Keegan-Michael Key), her perfectly coiffed and extremely opinionated mother Gwen Crawford (Jane Kaczmarek), and a small town that she’s never felt comfortable in.
Zach Harper (Zach Woods) is Maggie’s sweet, quirky, and good-hearted younger brother. They’re close (bonded by the untimely death of their parents many years ago) and his affable nature and naïveté leads him down some questionable paths.
Despite their differences — Emma is brash, bold, and assertive while Maggie is grounded, rational, and safe — the women complement each other the way only best friends can. They face the challenges of their past, present and future together.
Episode #36 — Reverse the Curse
On their way to a fancy dinner, Maggie and Emma get into trouble in the best way possible. Some new and old friends come to their rescue.
First aired: July 14, 2017.
What do you think? Do you like the Playing House TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
PLEASE RENEW!!! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
Discovered this show in July 2017 and have watched the first three seasons…Excellent writing and outstanding cast performances. Looking forward to the series continuing.
I found this show this summer, and loved it. I have binge watched three seasons over a weekend and then watched them again with my mom. She is now in love with the characters too! She laughed so hard. Love these ladies and all of the characters in this town. Please don’t stop now!
We love this show, it’s funny, good plot, and very real. Relationships and not vampires and killings like all the other shows. My husband even watches it with me. Please don’t cancel.
Please don’t leave us hanging with just 2 seasons! This is the best portrayal of current day BFFs ever. DO.NOT.CANCEL.
This is the first show I’ve ever seen that actually captures the flight of ideas way women have of speaking to one another when they’ve been life long friends. Please bring it back soon! Finally a series that my grown daughters and I can enjoy together!
Love this show. So well written, and funny!
The most creative real funniest show my #1 of top 5.
I think there are viewers who did not “happen upon” this show. We did and can not get enough! Announce reruns for seasons 1 & 2 and move ahead with season 3. This is a wonderful, lighthearted entertaining show! More Playing House PLEASE!
why doyou all seem to cancel good shows
Please! How could anyone not love these gals! The best in years!
This was one of the very best shows on TV. Please! Renew this series. Everyone I recommended it to, loved it! With all the junk on TV, how could this be cancelled? Give these girls a chance, and this show will be an icon series!
PLS renew! Seriously! Such a clever & well acted
show- pls touching & hysterically funny!
please please please renew this show! It is so much like real life good girlfriends. Its funny and touching and entertaining and hilarious. My friends and I love it!
tried to watch the show and found it to be insipid. Where have sitcoms like Seinfeld, Friends, Cheers, Frasier, gone? Those were funny shows. They were unique and not cookie cutter with recycled jokes.
