FOX is sending Rake to Friday nights starting March 14th. The Greg Kinnear series has been doing very poorly in the ratings, despite having the network’s highest-rated show — American Idol — as a lead-in. Though the network hasn’t cancelled it, Rake is highly unlikely to return for a second season.
The 12th season of Hell’s Kitchen will start airing on March 13th at 8pm. Idol will shift to 9pm. Once Idol is cut down to a half-hour on March 27th, it will be paired with new sitcom Surviving Jack.
Here are the details from FOX:

In the Season Premiere of HELL’S KITCHEN, Chef Ramsay splits the latest batch of 20 aspiring restaurateurs into two teams, men vs. women, and asks them to present their signature dishes. [EDITOR’S NOTE: KITCHEN NIGHTMARES will premiere later in the season.]
What do you think? Do you think Rake will be cancelled? Will you watch on Fridays? Do you plan on watching Hell’s Kitchen or Surviving Jack?
These networks are spitting out shows like they’re nothing. They’re doing too many, too fast, and a lot with similar themes. No wonder shows are getting cancelled. They have shows waiting in line to be aired so they put on a show, give it one or two episodes, then cancel it and put another. They’re not giving the shows any length of time for people to get accustomed to them or to even find them. I see lots of shows being talked about on the Internet that I had never heard of before. Why can’t they give some of these… Read more »
