ABC Family has cancelled Ravenswood after one short season of 10 episodes. Though Pretty Little Liars is the cable channel’s biggest scripted series, the spin-off just never caught on.
Ravenswood follows a group of five young strangers who find their lives intertwined thanks to a deadly curse in a small Pennsylvania town. The cast includes Tyler Blackburn, Nicole Anderson, Britne Oldford, Brett Dier, Merritt Patterson, and Steven Cabral.
Debuting in late October, Ravenswood’s first episode drew a healthy 2.12 million viewers. However, many viewers must not have liked what they saw because only half as many tuned in for the second episode.
The cable channel tried to give the series a fighting chance by putting it on hiatus over the holidays and then by pairing it with Liars. That gave the show an initial boost but viewers fled once again the following week. The 10 episode season ended up averaging 1.29 million viewers.
The defacto series finale aired on February 4th.

My mother and I both absolutely loved this show… There just aren’t enough ‘ghost stories’ on TV. That ABC Family canceled this is absolutely absurd! NCIS is one of the biggest shows out there, but it took 2 seasons to get huge. Good grief give a show a chance to catch on before dumping it!!!
Ravenswood was a great idea but some of the actors selected I think is what ruined the series. Except for Tyler Blackburn (Kaleb) the other teenagers just didn’t seem to have their heart in their parts ESP the male actor that played the boyfriend of the sis/brother combo, he seemed cheesy. I wish they could’ve added one more episode to end the series
Properly instead of leaving viewers hanging & upset that it was canceled.
I really dont understand why they cancelled it. They said that in episode 10 there was 1.29 million viewers, isn´t that enough ?
I´m from Denmark and Me and 6 of my friends have all seen the series and do not understand why they suddenly cancelled it. We are 6 in a group of friends so there may well be many others here in Denmark, which also has seen it and definitely want to see more.
so please come with a second season, there is certainly Danish support.

I can’t believe its been cancelled, every time there a good series on the producers cancel it, you should leave it up to the viewers to decide. We don’t get many good series in the UK like this so its very disappointing when this happens. You should at least tie the loose ends with a few extra episode’s to give the series closure
Hi Linda. I was just wondering what you meant by you don’t get many good series in the UK like this. Do you mean you don’t have many supernatural type shows? I do watch a lot of British shows which I get off a particular site, but most of them are detective type shows, like Jonathan Creek or maybe, Inspector Lovely, Father Brown, Broadchurch, Copper, Ripper etc. I do enjoy the British shows a lot. I watched Ravenswood everytime it was on and dvrd it so I could rewatch it. It was a great spin off and I would like to see it come back. Give it another chance please.

Solution for the ABC Family people who lacked viewers on Ravenswood. When you finish pretty little liars bring back ravenswood but try to restart everything.

I loved ravenswood I thought it was and amazing show and it had so much potential!!! It was a great thing. I was do sad when I found out it wasn’t coming back!!! I’ve been waiting to see what happenes next. They always cancel shows that I think are amazing and I would love to see it got brought back!!!!!!!!
Why did they cancel it? I thought their ratings are well. Looks like they are gonna continiue their work in PLL.
It seems that is the only show ABC Family cares about and since they cancelled Ravenswood why can’t we buy season 1 on DVD?????
Can’t believe ravenswood was cancelled I loved it and was waiting for the second season I was wanting to know what happened next it was a show that kept you on your toes.

I can’t believe that there won’t be another season! I liked Ravenswood. The way they introduced the spin off was well thought out and planned. I would like to have seen where they were going to take it.
