ABC hasn’t had much luck in the ratings with their Tuesday night comedies so they’re now trying a celebrity prank show. Will Repeat After Me be a success? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Repeat After Me TV show, host Wendi McLendon-Covey instructs guest celebrity friends (via a remote ear piece) to interact with everyday people in high-energy, comedic hidden-camera situations. At the end of each half-hour episode, the best moment of the night is crowned in front of a live studio audience.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. cancel this crap. Full of sexual innuendo. tired of everything about sex. its everywhere you look, life is more than that. Twerking on the wall? we all know that means you are showing men how you can satisfy them. Telling someone ‘want to see my little friend?’. its stupid, plus as others said its during primetime when kids home. I think we should complain to fcc, we are allowing this on tv. Better stuff on tv anyhow.
If you are so offended, then why are you watching. Don’t get me wrong,the show sux, but I just don’t watch when something is distasteful to me. You think that your way of thinking is helpful to society, but it is only harmful. that kind of one track thinking is oppressive.
Show is not long enough..seems very rushed and not as funny as it could be….I love the host on her other show just not this pen…her laugh is phony and forced…
The show seems fake/scripted. The people being pranked barely react, and seem to already know they are on a tv show (‘whatever?’ reaction). I was so excited about the concept, thought it was going to be a great show, but ended up very disappointed. Ellen is a great actress, but on this show her reactions seem fake and over-acted. Sorry, it just doesn’t work.
The show is good for ADULT entertainment but at Prime time not a good thing the kids are still up and its very inappropriate ! Ellen Really? It needs to be cancelled or moved to a later time! We watched not knowing what to expect and had to run the kid off .. Get a grip on it OK
This is an amazing show, and anyone who has a good sense of humor can see that. Ellen did a fabulous job with this and Wendi is too great. All my friends and I have tears from laughing so hard. Everyone who loves to laugh is so entertained by these celebrities be put on the spot and show their humor.
OKAY WHAT. EVERYONE WHO WROTE REVIEWS ON THIS OBVIOUSLY HAS THE WORST SENSE OF HUMOR EVER. Lighten up. Ellen has created a masterpiece, and wendi is beyond hilarious. Everyone I know can’t hold back their tears from laughing so hard while watching this. It’s awesome and SO entertaining seeing these celebrities be funny and put on the spot
Impractical Jokers RIP OFF. They were FIRST to have a TV SHOW dedicated to this style of improv. And they are SO MUCH FUNNIER anyway. Everyone go watch the ORIGNAL – Impractical Jokers on TruTV, Thursdays at 10pm.

be kind to everyone. how she puts people in these very uncomfortable positions and expects people to laugh. I don’t like it on her daytime show. Thankfully it doesn’t happen very often. Repeat after me is mean and nasty. Please cancel.

It’s time to put on family quality tv. None of this crap about stick a fruit down pants stuff. Some of us have children to hang with during “prime time”.

I was totally embarrassed to watch this show cause I was watching it for the first time and happened to have an eleven year old girl sitting in the room. It’s prime time people!! Why can’t we have decent tv?

ABC put money into this? Seriously? This ridiculous, losing premise has been tried (and failed) in the past. Is the shortage of entertaining programming so severe that ABC felt it necessary to go here again? Stupid.
