ABC hasn’t had much luck in the ratings with their Tuesday night comedies so they’re now trying a celebrity prank show. Will Repeat After Me be a success? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Repeat After Me TV show, host Wendi McLendon-Covey instructs guest celebrity friends (via a remote ear piece) to interact with everyday people in high-energy, comedic hidden-camera situations. At the end of each half-hour episode, the best moment of the night is crowned in front of a live studio audience.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I tried to watch Impractical Jokers. It is not as funny as Repeat After Me.

You gotta be kidding me right? Impractical Jokers is way more funny than this cheap knockoff by ABC.
What a horrible show! As soon as I saw the commercial, I couldn’t believe what garbage. Not only is it not funny, it’s so embarassing for the stars and the network. Are they that desperate for a paycheck? It’s an insult to your intelligence. Please do everyone a favor and take it off the air.
This show is NOT horrible! It is exceedingly funny. I highly doubt it is embarrassing to the stars or they wouldn’t do it. They know what they are getting into. This show is funny because of the high caliber of the stars who appear in it. I hope the show returns. What is horrible are the stupid comedies that are all the same, just different faces.
Please do not stop repeat after me.

The host is the problem. Come on people! His show needs a real comedian. A genuine funny person. This lady is not funny at all. The funny things are the ones that the actors improvise. She really sucks!
YOU MUST RENEW THIS PROGRAM. It is the only show that has ever made me laugh so hard through the entire show! I look forward to this show and have begun telling my family and friends. I haven’t laughed this hard in years and boy do I need it. You need to get your marketing people on the ball. Hidden camera shows, The Big Bang Theory (which I do enjoy), don’t hold a candlestick to this show. Use of celebrities is also brilliant. ABC doesn’t have a clue as to viewer likes, or they would not have cancelled Forever. That show has a legion of fans, yet they barely promoted it and put it in the worst time slot they have. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they cancel Repeat After Me too. The powers to be there are…well, I won’t say what they are on here.
