One of the best three shows on TV. The cast, the story line, outstanding. I love, love, love this show.
My other two favorites are Suits and Common Law.
Love the cast – all are very good. But if you look at the numbers versus the about of “soap” in the show, more soap gets lower ratings.
So – lose the soap and go back to being a drama. The TNT “We know drama” tag doesn’t fit the last few shows – they are pure soap with a little cop drama thrown in, and I just go away.
I keep getting the feeling that the writers are either too lazy to write a good cop show, or just plain incompetent.
I don’t think “Rizzoli and Isles” is a bad show, and I like the actresses but I just never really care to see it. With the exception of women being the lead characters, it just seems like other cop shows. “Southland”, “Common Law” and “Law and Order: SVU” are the 3 best cop shows around right now. Maybe “Criminal Minds” also.
I swear on heaven on earth if they cancel this show, I am throwing my tv out the window.
Happy of course but not too surprised. It’s an excellent show, they both are perfectly cast and have that chemistry, even when they are mad at each other. Sweet for TNT, that just takes that out of the equation for renewed shows, Franklin & bash, Falling Skies and Leverage, I guess we’ll see. I’m not worried about Leverage, it’s been kicking ass and taking name.
