The doctor is out. USA Network has decided to cancel their Rush TV show after one season of 10 episodes.
Rush revolves around a talented and handsome physician (Tom Ellis) who had it all — but then lost it in one fateful night. Six years later, he’s a private doctor who treats less-than-squeaky-clean clientele in Los Angeles. The rest of the cast includes Harry Hamlin, Larenz Tate, Odette Annable, and Sarah Habel.
Debuting mid-July, the first episode of Rush attracted 1.7 million viewers with a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Not a very good start. The numbers for later episodes went up and down and the season averaged 1.65 million with a 0.4 in the demo.
Satisfaction, another new drama, had very similar ratings and either show could have been cancelled or renewed. USA ultimately chose to drop Rush and renew Satisfaction. The defacto series finale aired on September 18th.

I absolutely loved Rush! It’s not fair to leave the public hanging at the end without knowing what happens next. Tom Ellis is a fantastic actor and this series should be renewed and have several more seasons!

I totally loved the idea of the show and everything about it …I have watched it over and over..and I would do that again…it definitely should have another season..I totally don’t get the idea of cancelling the show…LOVE RUSH..Nothing will be better than Netflix taking up the series…
I can totally echo the comments of the last reply. I watched it and loved it when it first came out and recently just re-watched the whole season as well. And yes googling to find out if they would bring it back let me to this site as well !

oh its definitely one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.its a shame that it got canceled.I’m sure it has plenty of fans all around the world.please ask Netflix to pick it up and continue it with The great Tom Ellis! is there a chance for that?
Excellant programme. Why did it have to end. Ive watched 71 episodes and im hooked. Please reinstate this thrilling show.
Rush was a great show that people didnt talk about until it was gone. It’s a show that if re launched would do numbers. On of the most shows I’m frequently asked by co workers an friends about what happen USA had a good one an dropped the ball on.
it’s a shame to hear that.It is the best serial which I have seen.I agree that Netflix can continue the started job.In Europe,we like that serial.
Definitely! I really couldn’t believe it was cancelled, and then to learn it had low ratings is rediculous. I couldn’t understand it, but if I had to take a guess with a gun in my face, I’d have to say the cocaine?
AND LOTS OF IT, WHILE PERFORMING SURGERY THROUGHOUT THE CITY FOR PEOPLE INVOLVED IN CRIME, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, MAYBE?

I would definitly would have watched season 2, wasn’t too sure at the beginning of the show but by the end of it I absolutly loved it, specially the message behind it. I would love to see a second season!
