What do you think? Do your kids watch Sofia the First? Are you sad it’s ending?
We are so sorry to see this show end – particularly when it seemed there were so many more storylines to explore with themes including blended families, ethics, class, and gender roles. Add on the exploration of the Mystic Isles and it seems there were lots of productive storylines to explore. The music was great – we loved listening to the soundtrack track when the kids were little, and the adventures to other lands and worlds – as a parent I would far rather my kids were watching Sophia than a lot of other brainless Disney content like Bunked or… Read more »
I don’t understand why its ending, it was such a success. If people love it and its bringing joy into peoples live, why not keep it going?
I like how they made Sofia popular in school for helping people and standing up for her values. Have you noticed how in movies & TV shows the popular kids are always mean and selfish? That basically teaches children that in order to be liked you have to be a rude little brat, lol! I especially loved how Sofia never stooped down to the level of the snobs in order to get revenge, she always took the high road and was honest about her beliefs. What a wonderful role model for kids to have.
I agree 100% about Sofia being a good role model for kids… and adults as well. There is so much junk on TV that children are exposed to, like the Bratz series and Ever After High where all of the main characters are self absorbed, superficial and vain; only focused on beauty and peer acceptance. Sofia the First was the first TV show for kids that actually instilled something meaningful in kids little minds. I truly, truly hope by some miracle that they decide to bring it back. It was making such a positive difference in the world.
Disney Junior, if you ever read this, PLEASE bring Sofia the First back on TV!!!! You have the ability to influence the minds of millions of children, they finally have a good role model to look up to which is so desperately needed in our society today. Things like kindness, forgiveness and integrity need to be taught! Please bring it back!
I’m so upset it’s ending. I was glad that finally there was an entertaining TV show that taught children about ethics. Sofia was an excellent role model for kids and the animation was fantastic. That’s sad it’s over 🙁
Oh, we are so very sad to say good-bye to Sophia the First. A powerful role model, blended family, and life stories all helped to encourage wonderful moral behaviors for both young and old alike. The music, simply outstanding, many times caused “goose bumps” and “throat lumps”…This marvelous, eloquent program will sincerely be missed by this grandmother, 4 year old grandson and his amazing mother. Thank you for this absolutely delightful series.
I am SO SAD to hear Sofia has been cancelled. I don’t even want to tell my family. My son is seven and daughter only two, but it truly is a show for everyone. My husband even loves it. We’ve seen every episode and get excited when there’s a new one. We even named our cat Sofia!
So sad to see this is ending! This is one of our favorites in our house! Why is it ending? Hoping for a spinoff that will still include everyone. What a bummer!!!
Very sad to see this series end! My daughter loves this show and i hoped it would continue for her to enjoy with her new siblings. Positive messages & not torture to watch as a parent. No chance it being rebooted?
So sad to learn this is ending, they should keep it going make her grow up like they did Dora!!! Love this show it’s brought a lot of joy in our house hold!
This is so sad. Sofia is one of my favorite shows to watch with my granddaughter. Heck there are times when the grandkids go home and I’m still watching. Values and morals instilled in our children through sofia that they sure aren’t getting much of anywhere else. I’m so dissappointed!!! Someone should really rethink this decision….please!
My daughter has been so sad since Sofia the first dolls are no longer sold in stores and you can barely find anything online, now the last episode she just doesn’t understand she’s only five w/ ASD.
I am so very sorry to learn of the series ending. Both my husband and I enjoy watching Sofia w/our grandaughter. If ever a show should continue it should be Sofia the First.
Really great show for kids. Me and my wife watched it and looked forward to new episodes. Sofia inlists values for young little girls… Sofia was a great role model… I hope they bring her back in a way like they did with doc mcstuffins toy hospital. And how did Elena never show up to help Sofia in a Sofia episode…. we need more. Please Disney jr.
Agreed!!
I really hope they bring it back! It was one of the best shows for kids that ever aired on television
