If a show has been cancelled, the networks often resort to burning off the remaining episodes on Saturday nights. That’s what ABC did with The Assets? But, what happens if a show’s ratings are even too low for Saturday nights? Well, apparently you run it on Sunday afternoons.
The Futon Critic reports that ABC has decided to air the remaining four episodes of their cancelled series The Assets on Sunday afternoons — but you’ll have to wait awhile to see them.
Episodes five (“Check Mate”) and six (“Small Useless Truth”) will run on July 27th at 4pm and 5pm. Episodes seven (“The Straw Poll”) and eight (“Avenger”) will then air on August 3rd at 4pm and 5pm.
Hopefully, the network won’t change their plans before these actually air.

Never under estimate the stupidity of the average TV audience. Clearly a show far too smart of the reality show dimwits. Of course, ABC caving and doing nothing to really promote the show, especially its sophistication, also documents clearly their level of stupidity too. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
What idiots! This is a show that reminded me of TINKER, TAILOR, SPY from PBS years ago. It doesn’t get better than that. No car chases, no explosions, no words more than two syllables and today’s audiences are struck dumb. Oh, no no sex every three minutes.
Will ABC run the remainder? I don’t think Vegas will take any bets. I too had set the DVR to record the shows and this AM, cancelled! The honchos at ABC who schedule shows should be horsewhipped.
This is a really good show. I guess because it is too adult compared to the “reality” moronic shows, ABC decided to mess around. It only has 3-4 shows to go, leave it alone. Putting Mistresses on instead, really?

This is a really good show! I just stumbled on it through Hulu. I hope this show is allowed to finish.
I like to watch programs based on facts. I think the acting is excellent. I am looking forward to watching the rest of the series and very disappointed I have to wait.
I was looking forward to watching the next episode this Saturday, when I double checked and was puzzled it won’t be on this Saturday, I googled and here I find out that it’s been pulled AGAIN!! Such idiots at ABC’s, that’s MHO (free of speech, ya know)!
I surely hope ABC will keep their words to air the rest of episodes in July and Aug and they better not pull it before it airs, otherwise they’ll lose even more customers to Netflix, Amazon, etc!!
ABC never gave this show a chance. I have been waiting and waiting for the rest of the series and now have to wait some more. Perhaps if they advertised it more like they do other much less well-done shows, it would have had a chance to succeed. Very disappointing.
This is one of the best series on TV and the way ABC has treated it is terrible.
How do they expect to get a decent rating if they keep changing the time and day it is to be shown?
Let’s have some respect for adult viewers that like quality TV.
And TV prime networks wonder why they are losing viewers to cable , Netflix and Amazon.
The Assets is a wonderful show. I can’t imagine why the ratings were not justified in keeping it airing. Thank goodness I realized that the second airing has also changed its time schedule and I searched for the reason why. My husband and I love the show. We would hope that the series would be continued.
This is such a great show. Was quite upset when ABC pulled it off the schedule BOTH times. This is quality television. Quite upsetting that the younger demographic prefers reality TV to quality programming. My DVR is set to record the remaining episodes if ABC goes through with showing them.
Sadly this is one of the better shows on tv and like the AMC series Rubicon it will forced to lie face down in an unmarked grave. Both of these subtle and graceful series have much in common (in terms of style and pacing) with the feature film Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. But in a world of over caffinated video games and junk food, the attention deficit disordered youth market has neither the patience nor maturity for the slow dance of dramatic seduction.
So sorry this most important and informative show is NOT being watched by the majority of the public. Their loss but for us who want to see this series that is so worthwhile PLEASE ABC AIR THE ENTIRE SERIES

Thanks for the information. This show is very much worth the effort to find and watch it. After finally being able to watch episodes 3 and 4, I have become even more hooked on it. I will mark those dates and times on my calendar.
