Based on the book by Lily Koppel, The Astronaut Wives Club focuses on seven women who were key players behind some of the biggest events in American history. As America’s astronauts were launched on death-defying missions, the lives of their young wives were transformed — seemingly overnight — from military spouses to American royalty. The cast includes Yvonne Strahovski, Dominique McElligott, Odette Annable, Joanna García, Erin Cummings, Azure Parsons, Zoe Boyle, Bret Harrison, Aaron McCusker, Wilson Bethel, Kenneth Mitchell, and Desmond Harrington.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. You’ve got to be kidding!! Cancelled? Omg. That figures; I also loved Pan Am Does this mean I have poor taste in the shows I love? I truly thought this show was wonderful. Exceptional even. I hope ABC will reconsider their decision. (Please ABC; reconsider and give it one more season to prove itself. Pretty please?)
i ALWAYS WONDER IF THEY INCLUDE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WATCH IT VIA ON DEMAND OR ANY OTHER WAY FOR THAT MATTER AFTER THE AIR DATE. FOR ME i OFTEN CANT WATCH IT UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING SO i WATCH IT ON MY ON DEMAND. IF NOT THAT WOULD LIKELY SKEW THE RATINGS SIGNIFICANTLY. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER?
Oh please renew this show. There are so many more astronaut stories to tell, it truly is a great show that needs to continue.
This was a fabulous show with strong female characters. I so looked forward to this show every Thursday. Finally, it was something that was well written, engaging and smart. I am so . This is also probably why I mostly watch PBS shows and explains the great success of Downton Abbey and Call the Midwife.

PLEASE have another season!! This was the best show I’ve watched in sooo long! We love, love, loved it! America is aching for simpler times like this; and women these days struggle with wanting to be at home with the kids and being there for the hubby, but having to work. At least for an hour a week this show can take us back to an awesome time! Great acting, and suburb sets! Can’t wait for more!
Please renew this show! Great acting, love the history aspect and nice to have a show without cops, murder, etc. However, I am very worried that it has already been cancelled as the end of the Season 1 Finale made it look like a Series finale instead of a Season finale. The way they wrapped it all up at the end of the show leads me to believe there won’t be anymore shows. I will be very disappointed! There was souch more that could have been done with this show!
