canceled + renewed TV shows - TV Series Finale

The Facts of Life: Cast Reunion Coming to Hallmark Channel

by Trevor Kimball, February 15, 2016

Facts of Life TV show reunion“You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the facts of life, the facts of life.” If you remember those theme song lyrics you may want to tune in to Home & Family today on Hallmark Channel. The morning program is hosting a reunion of the 1980s sitcom The Facts of Life. It airs at 10am Eastern time and repeats at 12pm on Tuesday reports Sitcoms Online.

Home & Family hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare will be joined by actresses Charlotte Rae (Mrs. Edna Garrett), Lisa Whelchel (Blair Warner), Kim Fields (Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey), and Geri Jewell (Blair’s cousin, Geri Tyler).

There are also surprises from actors George Clooney, Molly Ringwald, Todd Bridges, Mindy Cohn, and Nancy McKeon.

Diff’rent Strokes star Todd Bridges (Willis Jackson) makes a surprise appearance. Facts of Life is a spin-off of Strokes — Mrs. Garrett was initially the housekeeper for the Drummonds — and the two ran concurrently on NBC for several years.

In the Facts-themed episode, Whelchel demonstrates how to cook a Mexican cornbread. Decorator Ken Wingard and Fields make DIY blinged roller skates that Tootie would have loved. Beauty specialist Kym Douglas and Whelchel show you how to reproduce Blair’s legendary hair. Lifestyle expert Debbie Matenopoulos and men’s fashion expert Lawrence Zarian host a prep school-inspired fashion show. Singer Gloria Loring performs The Facts of Life theme song and more.

The episode was recorded on Friday. Here’s a preview:

What do you think? Did you enjoy The Facts of Life TV show when you were younger? Will you be tuning in to the reunion?

I am very sorry to hear you are no longer with Home & Family, Cristina. I’ve followed your career over many years. I wish you and your family the best that life has to offer. Ciao.
