Nobody knows drama better than Shakespeare. Deadline reports that a William Shakespeare has been cast for TNT’s new series pilot, Will.

From writer Craig Pearce, Will will center on the life of a 20-something Shakespeare.

British actor Laurie Davidson has been cast in the role of the young bard. The actor has only had a handful of roles up until now.

Will will center on “the wild story of young William Shakespeare’s (Davidson) arrival onto the punk rock theater scene that was 16th century London – the seductive, violent world where his raw talent faced rioting audiences, religious fanatics and raucous side-shows.”
