There’s been a lot of hype about the casting of Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel (the show’s fifth season). Co-creator Ryan Murphy is so confident in her performance that he’s offered her a role in season six. But, will the ratings live up to expectations? Could this season crash and burn so badly that the series is cancelled by FX? Seems unlikely but stay tuned.
American Horror Story: Hotel revolves around the mysterious Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles. It catches the eye of an intrepid homicide detective (Wes Bentley) and is host to the strange and bizarre. including its a bloodsucking fashionista owner (Gaga). The rest of the cast includes Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Denis O’Hare, Lily Rabe, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Angela Bassett, Chloë Sevigny, Finn Wittrock, Mare Winningham, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Naomi Campbell, and Max Greenfield.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
