Sad news for fans of Syfy’s Alphas. The show has been cancelled after two seasons and 24 episodes. Dedicated viewers have been waiting patiently to hear about the show’s fate since the second season ended in October.
Three of the show’s actors — Ryan Cartwright, Azita Ghanizada and Warren Christie — broke the cancellation news via Twitter.
Ryan Cartwright, who suspected the show had been canned a few weeks ago, wrote, “Unfortunately #Alphas is cancelled :(”
Azita Ghanizada tweeted, “Sad to say that ALPHAS will not be returning. What an honor to get to play Rachel for 2years & to work w/ & for the MOST AMAZING PEOPLE EVER”
Warren Christie wrote, “Like my buddy @RyanCartwright has reported, unfortunately #Alphas has been cancelled. Thanks for tuning in the last couple of years!!”
Alphas saw a significant drop in its second season ratings. Year one averaged 1.85 million each week with a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic while year two brought 1.3 million with a 0.7 demo rating.

After re watching this show it should of had at least 2 more seasons and still could make it with a third
The only syfy i actually loved watching and watched 2 and just when i believe its time for season 3 and i see they canned it. Unbelievable I find my syfy channel totalled with star wars 6 different versions of the same lame idea, and if thatt doesnt make my eyes bleed the 106 different new versions of the inate pointless star trek will finish the job. Just stated watching alphas on netflix. Have never watch any shows on te Syfi channel and since Netflix I have started watching many shows from this channel. So sad that they have cancelled this show. Great story and the actors do a great job!
Hey maybe it would have done better if it was on another station like abc, tnt or fox. Maybe than more people would tune in and than ratings wouldnt be a problem

Why do they do that??? Every time there is an exceptional show that I fall in love with …they cancel it. I’m going to give up tv altogether!!!
THIS IS NOT RIGHT CAN BELIEVE THEY CANCELED THIS SHOW.. ATLEAST GIVE US A MINI MOVIE WITH A PROPER ENDING
I so agree! This was the best TV series with exceptional actors ever! Saw it on Netflex & instantly became a hugh fan! I wish they would do a mini movie with a proper ending as well!!!

Alphas can’t end like that. I watched it on Netflix and was hooked. All those people laying there in the station, I so wanted to know what happened to Gary since he was the only one left standing. I couldn’t wait for the next season to start. Please bring it back even if season 3 will be the last. It’s just wrong in all aspects for it to end like that.
omgoodness….they left it with no ending?? all those folks laying in the station? bummer…I watched it on netflicks and loved it. too bad. What a let down that I couldn’t find out what happened…ugh.
