NBC is trying an interesting experiment with Aquarius by releasing most of the season’s episodes online before they air on television. Have they given up on the traditional ratings? Will it be renewed for a second season or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Set in 1967 Los Angeles, Aquarius, revolves around the generational conflict between an experienced homicide detective (David Duchovny) and an idealistic undercover vice cop (Grey Damon). The rest of the cast includes Gethin Anthony, Emma Dumont, Claire Holt, and Chance Kelly.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. I love David Duchovney in pretty much anything. Especially Californication , but this show is lame!
Wish they would do a ” redo” of Californication and put the Karen character in a less prominent role.
I also loved Californication, but Aquarius is a very good series. Of course as they say to each their own. The series keeps getting better and better with each episode.
I love the tv show! I look forward to watching it each week! I honestly think it’s the only show lb your channel I watch.

I enjoyed Aquarius very much. It was quick moving, and the acting is superb by all the actors. The music is fantastic. Did not appreciate that it was moved to Saturday night at 4:00 a.m. Disappointed in NBC. Very unprofessional. However, I was glad that it has been renewed and am hopeful it will be shown on one night at a more convenient time..

I just love the show, would be very upset if it gets cancelled. I would put it back on Thursday instead of Saturday so there would probably be more viewers, anyways I can’t wait for it to come back.. A BIG FAN of the Aquarius, thank you June

I wish they would have picked a night and left the show on that night. I have had a hard time finding when it’s been on. One night it was on at 3:30 am. Love the show but really? Why has it been moved around so much? Pick a day and leave it there so the viewers aren’t searching for it. I finally watched what I missed on deman.
reply to jayP – I believe they WANT you to watch it on demand. That was the experiment with this show – to allow people to binge-watch it in their own time ie:Netflix & other streaming services – it was a test to see if broadcast TV could be successful with that model.
I like the show. Some of the characters, especially Duchovny, shine through the rather dark and confusing story lines. I mean “dark” literally — so many scenes are shot in shadows that it is difficult to recognize characters and follow story lines. NBCs erratic scheduling is a big nuisance (also very detrimental to Welcome to Sweden). I ended up missing a lot of Aquarius episodes, hope now to watch them for free online (hey, NBC, not all of us are so TV addicted that we waste money on cable etc. We use broadcast and are quite willing to sit through… Read more »
Loved this show. Thought it was terrific!!! I am 64 and remember alot of what was going on at the time.

I loooooove Aquarius! It kept me hooked from the first episode! I started watching on demand but at episode 10 they were removed so I’m watching on Saturday nights now…. I still Love it! Next Saturday 8-1 will he where I left off… Can’t wait!
The show used to on Thursdays night and has now disappeared. Has it been shown on Saturday night? On NBC?

Yes, it was being shown on Sat night. The season finale was yesterday. If you have Comcast could watch On Demand. I’m sure other cable networks have that too.
