Is this the sunset of the Age of Aquarius? The word from NBC is that the Aquarius TV show is more likely to be cancelled than renewed for a third season. John McNamara’s police thriller-drama stars David Duchovny, Emma Dumont, Gethin Anthony, Grey Damon, Emma Claire Holt, Ambyr Childers, Madisen Beaty, Cameron Deane Stewart, Michaela McManus, and Brian F. O’Byrne.
Earlier this week, we reported Aquarius, season two, was being moved from Thursday to Saturday, beginning August 27, 2016. According to TV Line, when NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke was asked about the chance of the network renewing Aquarius for season three, she said, “I think that’s tough.”
During the TCA 2016 Summer press session, Salke confirmed McNamara’s news about the show moving nights, as was done in the first season. TV Line reports she also stressed the second season will air, saying, “David and the talent are really important to us, and we’ll continue to support the show wherever we put it. We do have to make some schedule changes, but the show’s not being pulled off the schedule.”

This show did get off to a rather slow and somewhat boring start. However, these last few shows have been riveting. Charmain has really stepped up her game and I wish Sam had become more focused, angry, and forceful sooner. The writing and acting have been much better. The only question I have now that S2 is over and Manson has murdered, what story is there left to tell?
DO NOT CANCEL! This is a really good show. The acting is fantastic; the show moves at a good clip and the story lines are engaging. I love the throwback to the 60s. I would hope that the powers that be keep this show on — at least through the main trial of Manson and his sick sycophants.
This is the best show on network TV. So riveting and addictive. NBC really needs to consider a Season 3.

Don’t cancel the show! Gives more info about Manson, the Family and the Murders. Mansion should never be paroled!

Can I just buy the box set on DVD as I can cancel my TV licence and sky subscription as there is nothing else worth watching

I love the show, it’s complex, great acting, lots of characters. I suspect it’s rating problem is the summer time slot. I always know when a show will be cancelled because I’m very invested in it mentally…and Aquarius was it. You have to think and get lost in it. And Duchovny…one of his best roles ever. But hey it will get tossed aside for some stupid nonsense that requires no investment.
So many comments wanting a third season….so NBC are you hearing us….GIVE US SEASON 3. Why would you want to disappoint your viewers??? I love the series and hope at the very least Netflix will pick it up.
please do not cancel Aquarius, with more & more people watching all I can say is We want MORE!!! NBC is the worst they cancel all awesome shows. Keep this show going, so much more has happened & the story needs to be told
Please renew Aquarius for season 3! I haven’t missed an episode! I’ve watched David Duchovany since the X Files and think he’s an awesome actor!

Hubby and I love Aquarius. If NBC is stupid enough to cancel such a good show we certainly hope some one smarter, like Netflix, picks it up!
