What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Starz premium cable channel, Black Sails begins roughly 20 years prior to the events of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island novel and follows the most feared pirate of the day, Captain Flint (Toby Stephens). The fourth season finds the pirates at war in the West Indies. The shores of New Providence Island have never been bloodier, but the closer civilization comes to defeat, the more desperately and destructively it will fight back. The Black Sails TV show cast also includes Hannah New, Luke Arnold, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Tom Hopper, Toby Schmitz, Clara Paget, Ray Stevenson, Luke Roberts, and Zethu Diomo.

Abandon ship! Although Starz renewed Black Sails for season four, back in the summer of 2015, by July of 2016, the premium cabler issued a press release announcing the renewal was for the the pirate drama’s fourth and final season. There’s little for this scurvy lot to do, but walk the plank. I’ve been circling it for nigh on seven months.

I love black Sails and wish there would be more will it be a season five
I cannot believe season four is the end of this series. I’m more enthralled with this show than any other I’ve encountered. I must see how the characters continue to develop. You have until the time it takes me to watch the entire four seasons again, to complete the fifth. Times a wasting. Get busy!
I am 1 of many out there that wants to see another season 5 of Black Sails. I’ve BEEN watching them from the 1st time I had heard they where starting this 1st season. I’ve watched all of them none stop. I would love to see the Story line Continue. The STORY is Not Completed yet, from my very it is not finished yet. We love Blaksails❤️❤️❤️We could not wait for season 4 to come out. We binge watched this season Labor Day weekend and loved every minute of it!!!! What a great ending. How about a sequel called Treasure Island and bring back all of the Blacksails crew! There is sooo much you can do with it! It just will not be the same without looking forward to watching this series! It is sooo well done!!! Please reconsider! We all have a little pirate in us!

One of my favorite series , I hope your change your mind and make season 5, I love the story. If you loose some viewers where because they spec more action , pirates , need more boat fights like the last two shows , if you decide to make season five recomen to get more action pirates taking and stealing the goal from another boats ,
If I’m not mistaken, I think I read somewhere- and if memory serves, it was from a relevant, reliable and credible source- that the actors who portray several of the main characters in this Series were just worn out and ready to move on to something else, which makes sense when you think about filming for long periods at faraway, secluded locales. I know that one of the main characters is suffering from clinically, medically diagnosed depression as well. Finally, this has to be a VERY expensive show to produce/film. Inasmuch as this is a “prequel” to the original “Long John Silver” story, is there any chance they may take us on to the next “chapter” of the wonderful LJS story that every kid loved growing up and make a Long John Silver Series as the next steps? How great would THAT be?!!

WTF!Why do they continue to kill great shows/series without finishing the story.Why should i watch anything?It’s like reading a book 90% of the way through.I want to start a Jihad on the networks.

Can’t believe they cancelled. It’s one of the more unique shows on tv, with a beautiful set, 4 seasons of impressive character developement, and an endless supply of pirate lore to fuel their plot. The actors were unbelievably devoted to their roles and the history behind it all.
If their characters were getting worn out, they could have retired a few to bring in new ones, not cancel the whole show! All pirate shows have been cancelled and this one should have lived on. Or does Hollywood not like to touch on topics of freedom from tyranny and government? Haha…
If this series is not picked up, there will be blood!
I really enjoyed Black Sails, it was an enthralling tale set in a wonderfully intriguing and exciting time and place, with a plot and character development that kept me curious and emotionally attatched. I think that in spite of the show being cancelled, the writers were able to finish the show with dignity and plausibility, for the most part. The thing i would have wished for the most, though, is the show to end in the way the creative forces behind the series truly wanted it to end, unrestrained and unleashed.
