Get ready to return to the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It has been 20 years since the television series premiered, and now a new book will expand the world of the series with a new slayer.
Entertainment Weekly reported that new spin-off series of books will hit book shelves in fall 2018. The series, titled Slayer, will be authored by Kiersten White and published by Simon Pulse.
Liesa Abrams, vice president and editorial director of Simon Pulse, said the following about the book series:
“We have always had a special affection for Buffy at Simon Pulse, as evidenced by our long publishing history with the brand. Kiersten White, whose work we deeply admire, is the perfect author to write an original series set in the Buffyverse. We couldn’t be more excited to have Kiersten on board to bring her skill and passion for Buffy together with one of the most influential properties in popular culture.”
White was excited to land the project. She admitted that she screamed when she received the call. She said the following:
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s influence on my own writing can’t be underestimated. When my agent asked if I was interested, I basically said, ‘Every book I’ve ever written was an audition for this.’ It’s still stunning to me that I get to contribute to a world that has been part of my imagination for more than half my life. Dreaming up my own slayer is one of the most surreal experiences of my career so far. I’m so excited to share her with diehard Scoobies and new fans alike!”

Yes!! oh definitely, always loved buffy would be great to have the show back
I would love to see a post chosen novel but i really wish there would have been a feature film.
Yes, defintely
I definitely would read the book series and hope they would bring a continuation of Buffy. The humor and creativity was great during the period it came out. How about Buffy having a daughter or son who is a vampire slayer.
