CBS is still the most-watched network but almost all of their established shows are down year-to-year. Plus, none of their new shows can really be considered hits. Which will be cancelled or renewed? Stay tuned!
CBS shows this season (so far): 2 Broke Girls, 48 Hours, 60 Minutes, The Amazing Race, Bad Teacher, The Big Bang Theory, Big Brother, Blue Bloods, The Crazy Ones, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Elementary, Extant, Friends with Better Lives, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-0, Hostages, How I Met Your Mother, Intelligence, The Mentalist, Mike & Molly, The Millers, Mom, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Person of Interest, Reckless, Survivor, Two and a Half Men, Under the Dome, Undercover Boss, Unforgettable, and We Are Men.
There’s lots of data that CBS looks at when deciding whether to renew or cancel a TV series but ratings are typically the biggest piece.
Check other networks’ rankings:
ABC | The CW | FOX | NBC | ABC Family | TNT

A couple of notes about these charts:
These figures are updated automatically as new ratings are released. The averages are based on the final national numbers (live plus same day viewing), unless marked with an asterisk (*). For technical reasons, I have to resort them manually so feel free to let me know if I missed something.
Keep in mind that the demo numbers are typically what’s most important to advertisers. Therefore, that’s how the networks measure success. Advertisers pay more for ad time on a show that has a higher demo rating. Because older viewers don’t count? No, it’s because younger viewers watch less traditional TV and are harder to reach.
Demo numbers are typically reported using the 10ths decimal place (2.4, for example). In the averages, I’m using an extra decimal for easier ranking.
The networks take into account when shows air on Fridays and Saturdays, nights when TV viewership is lower.
What do you think? Which shows are you rooting for? Which one isn’t as big a hit as you thought? Are you hoping any series will get cancelled to make way for something else?
Please renew Intelligence! It was a great show!
Please renew Intelligence
I agree with a previous poster about what a disastrous season this has been for PERSON OF INTEREST. Please, just go back to the original premise… Just stick to the four primary characters, John, Harold, Lionel, and Sameen, receiving a new set of numbers each week and helping someone in trouble. Forget the long-term story arcs and all the convoluted sci-fi nonsense. Get back to basics!
CBS’s best new comedy this year was absolutely, The Crazy Ones. It should be renewed.
Person of Interest has lost almost a third of its viewership since last year. How do the advertisers, who pay for commercials during the show, and the backers, who fund production costs, justify continuing to pour money into a show that has lost so much of its popularity? I used to watch the show before it went all crazy sci-fi and fembot. The original premise and cast was inviting and understandable. Jonah Nolan’s “genius” made this drama a nightmare and a losing proposition that is dying a slow death.
I’m rooting for The Crazy Ones.
I’m rooting for The Crazy Ones
TM is pure entertainment. Sometimes the writers get a little more dramatic and sometimes they get introspective. I am rarely wrong when it comes to which shows will be winners or losers. Many of the renewed shows will be gone after 2014-15. Keep TM the viewing audience will grow once the serie’s is announced it has been renewed. WB/CBS would be making a huge error not renewing this show. Person of Interest is the same impossible script over and over. Hawaii Five O is soupy and not nearly as well written as its second season. If the Mentalist was in… Read more »
The Mentalist should be renewed for next season.
TM is competitive or better producing when compared
to many of the shows that have been renewed. against man
Please renew INTELLIGENCE.
CBS please renew INTELLIGENCE for a second season. It is most definitely one of the better new shows. It has a good production and writing team, a great cast, interesting stories and humor. It has great potential as demonstrated by its premiere ratings. Unfortunately abruptly moving it to Monday nights at 10 pm with very little promotion by CBS led to some viewers falling off. The show did get better with each episode and as it is being shown around the world, it is gaining more and more fans. If given a full set of episodes, I think CBS would… Read more »
Please renew INTELLIGENCE. It deserves a second season! They need to give it a chance! Please listen to us!!
I too hope Intelligence is renewed. There is so much more that can be done with the story lines in place now. Gabriel’s character would be more intriguing if they can bring in some romance and/or tension between he and Riley, a scenario that pulls at the emotions of it’s female viewers. Josh Holloway needs to continue in this series, or they better have another one lined up for him. Just saying…
Would love to see Intelligence renewed as well. Interesting show – would be nice if it had a chance to follow through on some of the plots.
Hoping intelligence is renewed. Its s good show with lots of potential. The networks are so quick to pull shows off before they a chance. Does anyone remember a little show that was only on for 3 seasons that was almost canceled which fans pulled back on.the air with a strong write in campaign. The show was Star Trek ! And that was before internet people.
